Okay I can say now that I've been doing geotechnical work out there for a few months for preliminary borings. Y'all are in for a lot.
As opposed to the main borings we'll get later on at D23

I just hope that any villains land includes a Nightmare Before Christmas dark ride.
I imagine it will need to close at some point but it will hopefully be a relatively quick closure. It’ll take longer if they make RoA smaller. How long did DL’s close?Do yall know what the impact on the WDWRR will be?

A couple years unfortunately, IIRC. Hopefully they keep RoA the same size. It would be awful to lose the WDWRR for a while. If they keep the expansion on the outside of the tracks then hopefully they won’t need to do much. They will need to build a drawbridge across the canal connecting RoA to SSL.I imagine it will need to close at some point but it will hopefully be a relatively quick closure. Makes me think of this previous land purchase and what they’re long term plan is in this areaHotel north of Grand Floridian and very large area land north of that and west of Splash is my current expectation. Potential to move further north with additional resorts and to complete the loop later.
The original plans of the MK had one included. I wish they would bring it back but I unfortunately just don’t see it.With your user name I feel you'd agree with me and want a Headless Horseman attraction.
Have no idea how they would do that, but a Sleepy Hollow dark ride would be phenomenal.
My question too. We just put up with multiple years of it being closed for Tron.Do yall know what the impact on the WDWRR will be?
I’d love it. Especially if they ever considered dropped the villains moniker for just a general spooky type land. With your user name I feel you'd agree with me and want a Headless Horseman attraction.

I thought this was a conservation purchase to offset the development of other "conservation" labeled pieces of land elsewhere on property?Makes me think of this previous land purchase and what they’re long term plan is in this area
Definitely possible, and would make sense that it was purchased by The Celebration Company and not WDPR. Looking at Google earth it is further away from MK than I originally thought.I thought this was a conservation purchase to offset the development of other "conservation" labeled pieces of land elsewhere on property?

Everything that I’ve heard and seen up to this point since blue sky was announced was either no closure or brief closure, but I’m very much taking those two with a grain of salt.My question too. We just put up with multiple years of it being closed for Tron.
It would be very bad for park navigation for them to leave RoA as-is. BTMR is already an inconvenient dead-end. Adding a huge expansion past that without connecting it to Fantasyland or Liberty Square would be a navigational nightmare. And adding a long trek past HM to the new expansion, with nothing to do on the way, wouldn’t be ideal either.
It probably wouldn't, but it'd be an instant favorite of mine!I just hope that any villains land includes a Nightmare Before Christmas dark ride.
idk I honestly think it has a decently strong chance. Oogie is often used with the other villains nowadays and the ride would fit the land perfectly. Plus it’s also something that would easily attract families into the area.It probably wouldn't, but it'd be an instant favorite of mine!
Tim Burton as a consultant for Dark Kingdom expansion would be interesting lolIt probably wouldn't, but it'd be an instant favorite of mine!
The only things that would necessitate closure would be a RoA re-route or an eastern connection from the expansion to the rest of the park. There really should be a connection to the expansion in addition to the path by Splash that could easily go in.Everything that I’ve heard and seen up to this point since blue sky was announced was either no closure or brief closure, but I’m very much taking those two with a grain of salt.
