How dare us think that a $100/day theme park should be about rides. And the last par of you post is simply hyperbole stirred with a straw man.
Depends. It keeps popping up on the radar but is nowhere near the middle of the list let alone the top. It's changed more than once, I saw the complete blueprints for it and they were from 2008. Six years ago now and still nothing.
I really don't think anyone inside or outside the company knows exactly what's going to happen. Its so fluid and changing all the time. Coaster. No coaster. Carsland and coaster. Carsland but no coaster. Full RSR. Smaller RSR. Minimal Star Wars additions. Huge SW E Ticket and additions. SW E ticket and no additions. I've been told all these over the last 4 years before reading them on the web (even on Miceage!) from trusted people as almost definites. They keep falling at the final hurdle. Are you are liberty to expand on that comment?
People pay close to that for a few hour showing of cirque du soleil with no "rides" and way more than that for some sporting events with no "rides"
I have NEVER seen anyone complain about lack of maintenance and then complain of refurbs. Actually I have never seen anyone here complain about any refurb. I think you are simply making stuff up.Just like when people complain about not refurbing and doing enough upkeep in their opinion on various attractions and then complain again when they go down for refurb
I'm just saying the glass is and always will be half full for some on here.... and for some of those it would only be half full of butterbeer
But we are not talking about a "world class acrobatic creative company of performers" we also aren't talking about "world class athletes" we are talking about a theme park ... theme parks have rides in them...

So do local malls. Many people like a theme park experience not just rides
Universal built a full blown E-Ticket dead center in the middle of an operating theme park in 11 months. Over 4 years for a small family coaster is ridiculous.Yeah in the MIDDLE of the magic kingdom fantasyland. Avatar is going in an area now fully closed and construction is already underway
Frustrating isn't it....we all just want SOMETHING to happen...one good thing I guess is there are plenty of ideas and even plans in hand or in the making....someone just needs to replace that burnt out green light bulb

Plans to replace that bulb do exist, but their, uh, on hold.....

Sadly, I'll never understand why Disney gets beat about for not building things.
They are fixing DTD which is the most needed thing to fix in the entire WDW area. They are building a whole new theme park in China. Disney is in the theme park game for much bigger fish to fry than Universal, there's really no comparison. I think people should just trust Disney because its obvious they know what they are doing.
Jimmy Thick- Disney Parks 126 million people last year...Universal parks 34 million...Really no competition.
