I'm now optimistic about Avengers Campus actually becoming something worth being there.
Honestly if they added some rock work, redwood trees, and mini waterfalls ala Fantasy Springs to blend perfectly with Avatar and Grizzly Peak, it would seriously become my favorite land in the park. Never happening but man would that seriously be a vibe… a hidden Stark Factory/Avengers Campus in the Silicon Valley forests that once attracted both ancient sorcerers, Mr. Stark, Aliens (the collector), and the Avengers due to the area’s rich astral energy…I'm now optimistic about Avengers Campus actually becoming something worth being there.

Well they can't use the "Marvel" name in the domestic theme parks due to the Uni Marvel Theme Park rights. So they had to go with an easily recognizable name that shouts "Marvel" without actually using the "Marvel" name.Again, I love Marvel. I do.
But are Iron Man & Spider-Man the ONLY characters available to base rides off of?
DLP Flight Force is practically an Iron Man ride.
HK Iron Man Experience
DCA Stark Flight Lab
Spider-Man at DCA, DLP, HKDL, & SDL.
I still hate the name Avengers Campus. I feel like it'll never truly be a "Marvel Land" with that name. Not every character is an Avenger, it just doesn't work for me.
That's all.
Yeah but that makes it easier to expand more marvel properties in other areas if they wish. They could do an entire marvel land in the disneyforward expansion. With FF4, XMen, etc. All with characters in marvel that are not avengers. But as far as Ironman and Spiderman. In the MCU iron man is the most popular and spidey is one of the top 3 comic book characters of all time as far as popularity. Which shows since he has had 8 stand alone movies and 3 other appearances. Which is another way of saying the average Joe who doesn't watch comic book movies knows those 2 more than any others. Right or wrong that is a big factor in their decision making process.Again, I love Marvel. I do.

At the Imagineering pavilion at the Expo, the Imagineers were on hand to discuss the upcoming attractions/expansion and confirmed there would be physical sets, not just screens, for Avengers Infinity Defense (I guess we'll be calling it AID? lol)
Just analyzing the bits of on ride concept art... So the asgardian walls here are likely physical sets. You roll into this scene and the roof will like real but then it's a screen and giant ant man crashes through
What is cool here is the way hulk is holding onto our vehicle. I'm imaging he could throw us out of the way of the crashing helicarrier in a pretty cool moment
The more I look at this, the more I think it's an animatronic, at least I'm hoping and preying. You can imagine the physical rubble set, animatronic king thanos, and then the sanctum santorum behind him is all an LED screen. Would be a freaking awesome scene if so
I suppose its possible, and this was discussed already in this thread long ago, but my feeling is they will preserve it inside the new attraction or move the Trolley barn elsewhere.Does anyone else think DCA will be losing the Red Car Trolley for either of these? I just watched a video where someone said the new artwork showcasing where both of these attractions are going appears to be replacing wherever the Red Car Trolley garage is?
I have absolutely no idea if that is true or not. But certainly something worth mentioning, if it’s true and hasn’t been mentioned yet.

There is a backstage gate on the other side of MB and can possibly be moved over there. So it can turn left and go backstage instead of right into AC.I certainly hope so. I can’t imagine re-locating a garage like that would be too difficult. Compared to building an E-Ticket, that is.
Is that a CM breakroom? What's in the building circled in red? Can they repurpose that to the new barn and do a track-switch to park there in off-hours?

BTW, I'd like to point out (and we still have to wait for construction to start) that this is one of the first times in recent Disney Parks history that a Phase 2 is actually happening.
They can purpose them a better one in the Avengers ride building. Is that a CM breakroom?
Definitely seems less ambitious and less unique.
If Indy is still a better attraction then they’ve lost. (Indy and Spider-Man are the 2 gold standards for themed thrill rides - that era is sadly gone I think.
I’m familiar with Scott haha. Rise is very tricky to rate because the entire experience as a whole is very impressive - but if I’m focusing on the actual ride itself - spider-man and Indy both beat it big time.Well, relatively good news for you. This is the same ride designer of Spider-Man at Universal. I’d personally qualify Rise as another gold standard for a traveling ‘thrill’ dark ride, which was also Scott Trowbridge.
I’d be surprised if this ride was a total let down for you, if you consider Spiderman that highly.
