yea what's the deal with that? I'm really confused.

The site Administrator would prefer that links to some sites not be posted on here. And we are to respect that wish, and it's good manners to not try and circumvent the link-blocking.

Cool. And plenty of room for expansion. Can't wait.

Not if the flying ride show building is as big as the leaked plans show. Pictured here is just the raw building. It we assume it's going to be covered in some sort of rock work themeing that will take up more space. Appears to be just enough space for that ride, the boat ride and a few misc shops/restaurants.

Going by the leaked plans maybe theyre conserving space with the boat ride using part of the e ticket building
Just a guess

Yes, part of the boat ride is inside that building, but I would assume there would also be a good chunk outside of the building unless it's a very short ride.

Right - the overall dimensions of the building itself are nearly 300' square. The "C Ticket" does take up part of the first floor of the "E Ticket" building, but not very much of it.

As a side note, the structural portion of the E Ticket building is almost 80'. It's going to be a gigantic building.

We'll know exactly where the E Ticket building is going once we see some clear shots of the piles. The four ride apparatuses each have foundation pads with over 50 piles each. It should become VERY evident where they will sit once we see the pile caps being poured.

Maybe I am the only one...but I'm just excited progress is being made now! The concept art looked amazing...I don't care what film it's hooked to...if the land comes close to the art...shut up and take my money!

In my limited experience with construction projects...I've learned one thing...I usually don't pass judgement...until it's pretty much done. I've looked at sites before and been like, "seems kind of puny"...and then seen the finished building/project and been like "WOW".

Regardless, I'm pretty excited...and have already decided that with about 90% probability I will be booking a trip in '17 just to see it (assuming there are no major delays, if there are adjust accordingly) and I have never booked just for the sole reason to see a new thing when it opens. And I can't be the only one, so the project has to be accomplishing part of it's goal already right?

I would guess that's around a third of the land used or so

In my eyes, 80 feet tall means theres no way this is "just Soarin 2.0".

Depends on what you think you are getting in the extra 1.0. Looking at the plans it appears to be "something in front of a screen". 3D is a given, no way Cameron would agree to 2D. So the remaining question is how much movement the ride vehicles will have and if there will be any added effects.

@danlb_2000, I was under the impression that you could see some of the E-Ticket building in the video that was released for this project. Those screen shots of Cameron and the entire crew (not just of Cameron, Staggs and Rhode) I thought had a large green colored building in it rising above the tree line in the model of the new land.

Yes but there still seems to be plenty of land towards Africa and underthose support buildings if they ever decided to move them. That new pathway to the north is quite distant from the construction zone. Not saying there will be a phase 2 but there is a lot room if they ever decided to.

I was wondering the same thing. What are you thinking? Shopping/QS on lower levels? Or did you mean that there is more movement associated with this ride compared to how Soarin is constructed?
