Avatar construction aerial updates

Just checked out the photos - those are fantastic.

When seeing the plot of cleared land, and Dinosaur in the same photo, I'm struggling to envision how much will fit in that area. The "Soarin+" building is going to have a huge footprint.

The angle in that photo has Dinosaur in the front looking huge and the Avatar area in the background looking tiny. It's a matter of perspective. If you go to google earth and look at the Soarin' building in comparison to the size of Avatar's land plot, it would fit in there very comfortably with PLENTY of room for the other ride and whatever else they plan on throwing in there.

I think it's the angle this aerials were taken that make it hard to judge how large a plot of land has been cleared. Case in point, look at one of the new pics that has Rainforest building in it. It looks like if you moved that building into the empty plot it would fill a good chunk of the cleared land. I won't post the particular pic I'm referring to in respect of our forum rules.

Now look at the direct overhead aerials posted by photoflight and you can see just how small a piece of area of cleared land that the Rainforest building would take if you moved it into the empty plot of land.

The overhead aerial give a better view of the size of land cleared imo. It appears quite large.

it looks like you could definitely put all of the land pavilion inside the area they are working on

Here is Dinosaur overlayed on the land where Avatar is going.

Here is my approximation of the flying ride show building based on the leaked plans. Note that the position I chose is arbitrary I am not sure where it will actually go.

what are rebar cages for

They are used to strengthen concrete columns which may be built either above or below ground. Here is an above ground example from a highway project near me. You can see the rebar cages sticking out of the top of those yellow cylinders. These eventually became concrete columns like the ones supporting the bridge behind them.

It looks like the area in these new photos surrounded by an orange fence is the area that was earlier deemed the location of the "Root Bridge" and all the water. I wonder why they would be excavating there so early?
