No, you don't take a knee the entire second half, but according to the final score it looks like they did call off the dogs.

Tom Brady looks unstoppable this season. Unless they suffer a key injury or two, this team might not lose all season.

I'd love to see it but it wont happen because if/when we clinch everything... The Jedi master will sit his starters to prevent injuries. A SuperBowl victory is more important than a perfect record.

I am not sure of that. They took Brady out and his back up ( I forget his name) threw an INT and they took him out and put Brady back in. I figured they would sit brady and just run the second half to burn the clock, but they passed a lot in the second half as well. I think Jedi Master has something to prove.

We had a small article in our paper about this yesterday; I'm assuming it was written by a local. The gist of what was said is that if it comes down to after the Pats winning the homefield advantage for the playoffs, Belichick will keep the starters in because he'll want his name in the record books. I don't know if that's true, but I would continue to play the starters. Time off will not prove valuable, unless someone is nursing a significant injury.

Well...Brady has that "shoulder injury" that keeps putting him on the Probably/Questionable list week after week :lookaroun

Dopester...after last week...it's really hard for me to pick Chicago unless I know beforehand that Hester will get the ball over 50% of the plays

There's no reason why Hester shouldn't touch the ball every series. Direct snaps. End-arounds. Reverses. Screens. Whatever it takes. The guy is the most exciting player in the NFL.

I've never seen a team try so hard to avoid putting the ball in one player's hands, as Philly did on Sunday. It's funny that the Bears woeful offense couldn't capitalize on the great field position they got. No, they could only score a touchdown when they were backed up to their own three-yard line. :hammer:

If we beat the Lions this coming Sunday, we're 4-4! Hooray for mediocrity! It might be enough to make the playoffs in the dreadful NFC. :sohappy:

 We're still 5 1/2 games up in week 8!

Hey, Brian, I just read today that your Pats hadn't played any team with a top 10 defense. Redskins, who have the third-ranked defense, just might give Brady problems. Or not. I dunno. We shall see.

Of course, with the number of points scored on them all, none of them should be a top 10 defense... ;)

This is the key here.

We make teams look bad. Anybody that has played us would be knocked out of the top 10 because of the large number of points.

(Likewise, a great defense shouldn't have played a team that's a top 10 offense)

It's like taking an entire week of football away.

For instance, if a great defensive team comes in...and is the best in the league...and plays us and we score 40 points on them...every other team in the league catches up by a significant margin if they only give up 20.

I'm worried about the Redskins...but, like I said before, going undefeated isn't the big goal here...but if it comes, awesome!

Whoops. According to NFL.com Dallas is ranked 7. How did they do against us?

Defenses faced by New England:

NY Jets #28 defense
San Diego #16
Buffalo #31
Cincinnati #29
Cleveland #32
Dallas #7
Miami #27

Defenses to face New England:

Washington #5
Indianapolis #3
Buffalo #31
Philadelphia #11
Baltimore #2
Pittsburgh #1
NY Jets #28
Miami #27
NY Giants #8

This will get interesting for 5 of the next 6 weeks. I'm not saying NE loses any of those games, but I don't think we'll see blowouts all five of those weeks like they have been doing.
