I don't like professional football, cause I don't think there is any heart in their game - they play for the money.

Now college football is a whole other story. I am a UGA fan, but regardless of that I must say CONGRATS to all my LSU friends!!!!!! How bout that???? An SEC team in first place!!!!!!!

I beg to differ. We happen to have quite a few players for the Pats who have taken pay cuts every year to allow the team to sign better players. Brady always renegocaites his contract and how about Randy Moss who took a 14 million dollar paycut to play in New England. Most players who chose to come to New England to play for a championship now they will not be getting what they could with another team.

Nope, no money exchanging hands in the college game. Are you kidding?!!!

Does the same hold true for every profession? I suppose you'd prefer to see an amateur doctor over a professional, because the professional MD is doing it for the money and the amateur is doing it for the love of medicine!

Hats off to the Patriots for their dominance in today's game against the Cowboys. This was their first test of the season and they passed with flying colors...

BUT...

the final TD with 19 seconds left and a 14 point lead was a show of classlessness. There was no need to score; show some class and take a knee. I'm not a Cowboy fan and I found that out of place. Looked the Cowboys coaches were not impressed either.

Let's see; T.O. and his little note before the game, but gee then decides not to talk about the 2 81's after they loose.

Wade had the guts to way in on camera gate, but now denies it?

I'm sure the Pats weren't impressed with the Cowboys before the game. (by the way, my #2 team, after the Pats, is the Cowboys.

Right, because a kick return or hail mary and a recovered onside kick is impossible.

They were only up by two touchdowns...it's not like they were up by 30 points.

I was saying the exact same thing to Tina...should they just take the knee or go for it? (Don't forget...Dallas had a timeout left)

You take the knee with 20 seconds left and Dallas gets the ball with one timeout and the ball is on the one yard line. Let's play this out....Romo drops back to pass and hits T.O. across the middle and T.O. has to run another 80 yards for the TD. Assuming he can run a 4.5 40, that's 9 seconds if he runs unimpeded to the end zone, though not likely since New England has dropped 8 back into coverage, and then we're gonna add on 4 seconds for the play to develop. So, at the absolute best, there is now 7 seconds left, probably only 5 and Dallas has scored on a one-play, 99 yard drive. They try for the onside kick, using up 4 seconds, leaving a possible one or two seconds on the clock. Romo throws a hail mary pass 60 yards in the air and the Cowboys catch it and TIE the game.

Gimme a break, Brian. They should've taken the knee. They already made their statement for the day.

If Brady was throwing the ball left and right marching them down the field I would agree with you wholeheartedly. They were running the ball...killing the clock. What's the difference if they run a play or take a knee? The clock still remains running either way. If Brady threw another touchdown it would've been classless...I agree. They ran a play to kill the clock rather than take a knee.

To be honest...I think it's more embarrassing for a team to watch the clock ran out knowing the other team doesn't even need to try and they've won the game. I hate taking a knee.

And, like Iakona said... T.O. runs his mouth more times than not...and when a team shuts him up...it's "poor T.O....or poor "team that T.O. plays for" Please, if the tide was going the other way...Romo would've tossed one to T.O. so that he would have something to follow up his words and actions.

Scoring points is not a bad thing in football...don't make it out to be.

The Indians already made their point in the 11th inning...did they really need to score 7? They should've just stopped at 5.

I just can't believe I'm defending the Cowboys in a roundabout way. Internally, if the last score was a jab at T.O., I understand that. I didn't hear New England running their mouth before the game was played.

As for the Indians, they had Borowski pitching the last inning--they needed all 7 runs to make it a safe lead.

 Nah, the Indians knew they had it in the bag when Gagne stepped out of the bullpen

A final jab at T.O. would've been a Moss TD. They gave it to a newbie who hadn't had a touchdown before.

At this point, if Belichick decided the players should start wearing yellow-flowered tutu's, I wouldn't question it.

I'd just assume somehow, someway he knew that was the best way to win a super-bowl and let him go.

in the past games this season the Pats have taken the knee. I think two weeks ago they could have scored again at th end of the game, but took the knee instead, but the other team had onl scored 14 points. Dallas proved they could score when needed, remember last week. I think everyone needs to stop trying to find reasons to hate the Pats. The video tapes scandel, Vrabels hit, and know they should have taken the knee. Are we watching Pop Warner? These guys are grown adults.

I do agree with you to a point...everybody's going to hate us anyways...we're the Yankees of the NFL. If you're not a fan...you hate us.

Not one person on here had a remark about "class" when it came to Travis Henry's words about Trent Green...or vice versa.

Trent's career could (and probably will) be over. But, on the flip side...the chop block could've easily destroyed Travis Henry's career also. Lack of class is not having any compassion for the person you just laid up. But, put in the situation...can you have any compassion for somebody that could've easily taken the food out of the mouth's of your children and family?
