Are you ready for some Football?....:):)

I'm still sticking by my team, but I'm calling it like I see it. I see uninspired play, linemen that get beat on EVERY play, Drew Brees running for his life and I see his frustration, and last night, I saw Deuce McAllister walk off of the field with what appears to be his second ACL tear in 3 years. He may never play football again...that sucks.

For every game this season, I've gone out and supported them the way I could 9.5 hours away from home. I've gone to the ESPN Club, and hell, I've even been to Raymond James Stadium in Tampa. I've gone with the outlook that I'd see my Superbowl Contender Saints and each week, I've seen a team that looks nothing like their 2006 selves. Last year, when you saw Brees take the field, you felt confident that everything would be alright...now it's just a surprise to see him get up again. I've stayed to the end of every game. I've endured the taunts and bragging (rightfully so) of the other teams fans.

I'll still watch every game and continue to hope that the 2006 Saints will return and defeat their "Aints" imposters. I can see in Reggie's eyes that he wants it, I can still see the fight in Drew Brees, when there's time (rarely), Colston gets open. There's still some hope that we can turn things around and make this season somewhat respectable, but it's a long trip to get there.

I'm still sticking with them, just like I did in 2005 and just like I've always done. However, this season hurts real bad. We're better than we're playing (at least I think we are). The expectations were so high, but we've just regressed dramatically. I don't understand it, and I'm hurt....but that doesn't mean I'm not still a fan. I wanna see some football, and right now, I'm not seeing it...at least not in Black and Gold. A play on an old local saying "This Aint your father's Saints" well, "This Aint last years Saints."

I understand that completely..

I just hate that you called them the "Aints"..be upset..be mad..be hurt..but to call them the name that all the people out there who hate the Saints call them is just wrong to me.

I always cringed when I would hear people call them that...and I hate it..I think it is disrespectful especially if you are a fan.

I don't like the title "Aints" either, but they "Earned It" (This seasons slogan or whatever). Because they sure Aint the Saints this year...they don't deserve the name Saints.

Top 5 Best Teams in NFL (After Week 2)
1. Colts
2. Patriots
3. Cowboys
4. Steelers
5. Green Bay (I had a feeling they would have a good year)

Colts are still the best in the AFC until the Pats beat them.

HI:wave:

I would have to respectfully disagree. Just because the colts beat us last year in the afc championship game doesn't mean we have to beat them to be #1. Have you forgotten all the times the colts lost to us in regualr season and playoffs. One lost doesn't wipe all that history out. On paper and on the field the Pats are the #1 team in the NFL.

GO PATS 16-0

Top AFC Teams:
1. Patriots (why not?)
2. Colts (their season will end like it always has in the past...a cold, snowy, nasty field in Foxborogh.
3. Steelers

Honorable Mention:
1. Texans
2. Titans

NFC:
1. Cowboys
2. Packers
3. Bucs
Gosh the NFC sucks:(

Worst team in the league:
Aints. No heart, no defense, no offensive line, no chance. Brees will be lucky to make it through the season...Deuce probably played his last down as a Saint/NFL player.

AHH now something I can agree with. On both teams. :sohappy::sohappy:

Rex is out.

I wonder if Bears fans are cheering about this as loudly as the Bills fans had been cheering about J.P. Losman going out with an injury in Sunday's game. That had to be the funniest part of the day, seeing Losman get up, start to limp and have the whole place sound as if the Bills had just blown out the Pats. When the Bills backup QB took the field on the next series, it was the last time I heard them cheer that day, I think.

Ok... not exactly NFL related (yet...) but I'm just so excited! :sohappy:

This weekend I'm going up to Chicago to see my nephew play football at his high school homecoming game. He plays defense (DE) AND offense (??) during most games. He's a 6'3" 240lbs-pretty-much-solid-muscle senior and he's been getting phone calls from colleges non-stop recently.

I'm so proud of him, and I know his late step-father would have been so proud as well! :o He's such a wonderful kid and I wouldn't be surprised if we saw him in the NFL one day!

(Thanks for letting me gush! ;))

Very cool! I hope he does make it to the NFL, if only so he can have the opportunity to sack Peyton Manning while wearing a Pats uniform... ;)

I gotta say...Peyton is a great quarterback but the fact that he is selling himself out so much degrades his worth in my eyes. I don't mind a celeb or sports figure doing an ad or two...but this ridiculous now. I guess he's just after the all-mighty dollar no matter what it takes.

I swear he has a new commercial every week or two. Actually, there was a segment on ESPN.com after Week 2 where they have a bunch of humorous captions that link to photos. See if you can find the one for Peyton Manning without clicking on the link: http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=gallo/070917&sportCat=nfl
