Man, the Pats are on MNF this week. I hate when that happens because there's other stuff I like to watch on Monday nights. I much prefer a nice 1:00 game on Sunday afternoon.

Really? Ugh, I hate the 1:00 games. The night ones are better cause the kids are in bed and we can watch it undisturbed. :D
GO PATS!!!

I have had direct tv for years now and had the nfl package so I am used to being able to watch more than just the pats and another team on sundays. I now have cable and actually am looking forward to being able to watch a possible of 4 games on sunday and then the pats on monday.

I hate this blackout thingthey do in the local markets.

My son likes to watch the games with me, which is a blast because he gets so into it and yells at the refs. We've been going out to watch the early games the last few weeks, but this week we're going to watch the Bills game from home instead since we mostly go to also see the Pats.

That would be cool. Ours are too young to have any interest in football (yet), although we have taught our 4 year old daughter how to yell "touchdown, Randy Moss!" when we give her the cue.

Rex is out.

I wonder if Bears fans are cheering about this as loudly as the Bills fans had been cheering about J.P. Losman going out with an injury in Sunday's game.

Rex: what a disappointment. I, for one, am not happy that he failed. He's a human being, and he no doubt tried his best. He's got talent. His problems might be more mental (ah, yes, the "mental midget" comment springs to mind). It's pretty sick to cheer for someone to be hurt just because they are struggling on the field.

Obviously, it remains to be seen whether Brian Griese is the answer. He's had problems before in other cities. And if he were a significant upgrade, Lovie would've started him before Rex. The Bears offense, though, has a lot more problems than just the QB position. Benson is fumbling. None of the receivers are catching.

Ok... not exactly NFL related (yet...) but I'm just so excited! :sohappy:

This weekend I'm going up to Chicago to see my nephew play football at his high school homecoming game. He plays defense (DE) AND offense (??) during most games. He's a 6'3" 240lbs-pretty-much-solid-muscle senior and he's been getting phone calls from colleges non-stop recently.

I'm so proud of him, and I know his late step-father would have been so proud as well! :o He's such a wonderful kid and I wouldn't be surprised if we saw him in the NFL one day!

(Thanks for letting me gush! ;))

Cool. With all the injuries, the Bears could use him now! :)

You can say that again...I thought it was totally classless when Chad Pennington got hurt and stumbled off of the field and the Jets fans cheered. Makes a guy really want to go out there and give it his all for the city he plays for.

Well, at least we can say one thing about the Patriots videotaping thing. It hasn't lead to any ridiculous lawsuits or anything. Wait... it has?

I stand corrected. Let the stupidity begin.

Yeah, some wacko lawyer that basically sues companies for a living. I am announcing a class -action lawsuit against the Jets because their poor play and panning resulted in a boring game as they got whipped so bad.

So the final score of my nephew's game was 57-7. My nephew's team didn't even give them a chance! :D He had two or three sacks and a touchdown. :sohappy:
