Still only a way for spending more money after the $75, but it shows they will continue to work on new offerings.

Now if only any of them had some sort of value I cared about that didn't require me to spend even more money.

EDIT TO ADD: Countdown ends April 1st....

Ah, so now you can be the ULTIMATE Disney Fan by eating steakums in a hidden room! It all makes sense!

I'm wondering why someone would do something like that. Especially if you read their "press release"...

"Not only will Club D23 offer a tantalizing menu — everything from select cut steaks to exquisite wine pairings — but today's announcement of the first-ever exclusive fan area is sure to thrill Disney fans the world over. Club D23, will be located in Disney's Hollywood Studios, honoring the year 1923, when Walt left Kansas City, headed for Hollywood and founded what would become the Disney Studios."

They also make it sound so special to be the first people to sign up on their site... it's probably some scam for them to get a hold of your Disney Account Information.

Nevermind, forgot April 1st (which the countdown ends on) is April Fools Day LOL

Yeah not exactly the wisest of moves, legally speaking.

I'm curious about your review. I've learn to expect the unexpected from you after your reviews on AIE, and your KP experience at Epcot.

So far, I am halfway thru it. Probably should be reading it now since work is done and I am home with it sitting here.

But thus far my opinion is holding up. It's a very nice glossy magazine that has very little substance when compared with Tales From the Laughing Place.

Any true fanboi knows Dave Smith's Disney Archives story very well, so that means nothing. The story on the reawakening of the Castle walkthru in Anaheim was nice, but again very old news to any fans with Internet. They managed to take a guy like Tim Burton (an amazingly talented and quirky fellow) and make him sound boring, while totally glossing over all his difficulties while working for Disney and basically ignoring everything he did in between from Batman to Edward Scissorhands. ... And things like recipes from the California Grill and pics of Zac and Vanessa just reek of the old Disney Magazine.

It was free since I had so many Barnes and Noble giftcards, so I am certainly not sorry I 'bought' it. And it looks nice.

But compare it to the current issue of Tales ... interviews with the team that put TDL together in the early 80s ... artwork that truly has not been seen by any fans outside the Archives.

Again, it just seems like Disney doesn't get the audience it says D23 is aimed at.

Interaction with super models is no big deal at all. I interact with them all the time. Well....that is if you count stalking as interaction!

I have never stalked a super model.

I have stalked Conan O'Brien however ... and at EPCOT of all places. And 12 years later when I had drinks with the man (name-dropping alert for my buddy jake ... someone page him to the thread, please!) and reminded him of this he faked being amused and clearly didn't recall.

Anyway, more on D23 when I get thru it ... but House is on now ...24 soon!

What an interesting obsession you have developed about me...

Just so your ego doesn't inflate too much, I was sent an email because I automatically subscribe to threads I post in.

I've also enjoyed the threads where the owner of this site has called you out on misinformation twice now.

You're unravelling WDW1974. You need to tighten up your stories.

Not really. I just have something called a sense of humor. You should try and get one.

Just so your ego doesn't inflate too much, I was sent an email because I automatically subscribe to threads I post in.

I don't have any problem getting anything to inflate, thank you very much.

But I am glad I don't get those emails because they'd pile up fast!

I've also enjoyed the threads where the owner of this site has called you out on misinformation twice now.

Well, I'm not quite sure I share your view of things (naturally). I am not sure exactly what things you are referring, but I am sure you keep a record. Steve and I have been bantering on here quite a bit the past few days. He and I see things very differently on many things.

That said, jake, I am not infallable (I know you must be crushed) and I am sometimes wrong about things (although far, far, far less than you'd like to believe).

I'm sure Steve is also wrong from time to time.

You're unravelling WDW1974. You need to tighten up your stories.

In order to be unravelling, I would have first had to be ravelled and I honestly don't recall that although it sounds like fun.

As to tightening my stories, I do admit I can be wordy. I'll try and cut to the chase more often ... I keep hearing attention spans aren't what they once were ... especially when Disney rips out a 20-minute AA-filled attraction and replaces it with a 2-3 minute thrill ride.

That would assume that I choose to believe any of what you write.

You have no credibility to me. I know you don't care. I don't expect you too.

You are an entertaining character, but nothing more.

You can also have the last word, because I won't be responding to you in this thread anymore.

I don't give two rocks what you believe or don't. ... The people that matter know just how credible I am. Anyone else? That's up to them.

But again, it doesn't change the facts.

You are an entertaining character, but nothing more.

Well ... you got it partly right!

You can also have the last word, because I won't be responding to you in this thread anymore.

Oh come now ... why don't you just call me a Commie or Socialist or at least a Disney hater?

~Such a character!~
