But, I was thinking, if Gandalf fought Dumbledore, who do you think would win?

well, as much as i hate to admit it, i'd say Dumbledore. Gandalf is certainly wonderful, and as much as i love him (though i've taken a great liking to Dumbledore's gentleness), his powers just seem kind of limited to me (though that may change after Fellowship, i just don't know yet...i'm trying to not know so then i'll be surprised during the upcoming movies) so, for now, Dumbledore.

I did, pretty funny, really!

So Hooch was cut because she wanted more? Man, I hate when people let fame cloud their better judgement...

.

Shes actually the daughter of a director and producer so I dont think thats the motive. Shes also the star of a rather popular BBC sitcom.

I was implying thats shes from a wealthy family, and has experienced some degree of success since her move into comedy. She may have felt that given the mediocrity of the first film why would the second be such an improvement.

At the end of the day was her part really missed, I think not.

The wages in the first film were pretty low. Dan, Rupert, and Emma made a combined $330,000. I think the Screan Actor's Guild stepped in and CoS upped them to $3,000,000. Next one's gonna be $5 million each.

Anothe reason for them to stay for all 7. They'll have enough cash to pay around for the rest of their lives if they don't ever wanna work again, and they can always live off conventions like Shatner, right?

...You know, especially after the movies, I feel like the series should be renamed to "Ron Weasley and the Philosopher's Stone". He's the best, and Rupert's face of fear is PRICELESS!!!

I agree! Ron is the best. :sohappy:

I thought the second movie was much better donethan the first. I really loved it. I don't know that I can wait until 2004 for the next one. I'll have to give them a call and ask them to step it up a little. ;)

Well, Malfoy is only mentioned in "Prisoner", orchestrating the downfall of Buckbeak, so it's ok for him not to show up... And Peeves doesn't have a big role in this one as well, but they sure should have included him in "Chamber", and at least add his deleted scenes to the "Stone" DVD.

Right, I remember reading about that in college... Hey, cool! Thanks, Skirt Boy!

Not a problem.

Thats just the sort of wee things that people miss in the films.

I read this week that they're making some tests to see if it's feasable to use Richard Harris' double's body and then insert his face digitally.

As far as I know, they should just get a new actor.

In my opinion...they should do this...if it's feasible...because he would've wanted to have been in this movie. (but only if they can do it right)

No, i think they should just get another actor.

I mean, its a bit different from finishing gladiator after Oliver Reed had died.

These are fresh news:

1. Richard Harris' family wants WB to offer the role of Dumbleore to his good (drinking) friend Peter O'Toole.

2. Apparently, Gary Oldman will be Sirius Black, already negotiating for "Prisoner" and "Goblet".

thanks for the new info, MK!
my sister told me of a guy who supposedly was going to be Dumbledore...she heard/read about it on E!. but she later found out that he had never signed on and E! had just jumped to conclusions. i wish i could remember the guy's name! he's played on something before, but my memory fails me at the moment.
Peter O'Toole, eh? i KNOW i know that name from somewhere, but what movies has he been in?
