Actually, for me it's terribly ironic...He looked to me what I imagine my ex b/f will look like eventually. The ex also has those issues...

Took me a while to find this thread... :lol: I was thinking us Disney Harry Potter fans could keep it alive, so we can discuss the books and the movies...
I just saw it this weekend and liked it very much. I though it was better than the first one as a fan, but a regular person sure can't see it without getting lost. Also, I thought it was more complete than the first, adaptation-wise. It's a good film they'll include Sir Nick's birthday and the Malfoys in the dark magic store in the DVD version. They should have done the same with all the deleted scenes in the first one.
Also, I thought it was unecessary how they overdeveloped some scenes, like the Quidditch match, the spiders scene and the snake (don't know the name in English) scene. They could have used that time to include more details from the book that they left out. If that ball (sorry, don't know the name in English!) was able to break through the stands, it should have gone right through Harry! That whole thing was stupid! And how come the twins didn't show up to help him, like in the book????
As for HP 3, I hear production starts early next year. I hate it how this one will only be out on 2004, but apparently they still haven't been able to produce a good script, they say there's too much story. As for Dumbledore, I heard rumors about Sir Ian and Cristopher Lee, but Chris Columbus said right after Richard Harris's passing that they were gonna use his body double. Apparently the guy looks a lot like Harris and can even speak like him, their voices are also similar. I only see the movie dubbed anyway, so I wouldn't care about that.
And about "The Order of the Phoenix", did you hear about the card being auctioned? Here are the words on it:
"Thirty-eight chapters...might change...longest volume... Ron... broom... sacked... house-elf... new teacher... dies... sorry."

By the way, I want to ask you guys to bear with me if I start making stupid questions about HP, but the fact is I read all 4 books in Portuguese, so many names, of characters and things, are completely different! That's why I said I watch the movies dubbed, because if I was to watch them subtitled it'd be a great mess to listen to one thing and read something completely different!!

ok all you guys, official news is that Ian McKellen will be be taking over the roll of dumbledore. Also, she finished writing the order of the phoenix about a month ago, so now it's going through editing and publishing. Working at a bookstore, i can tell you that it will take a couple of months for the book to come out. Prolly late winter early spring. I CAN'T WAIT!! Oh, and do you think Peeves will be in the second movie's dvd deleted scenes?? I certainly hope so, I was saddened not to see him in this movie as well.

Boy, Sir Ian sure is settling himself into all the great franchises, isn't he? Next thing you know, he'll land the Vulture in Spider-Man 3! :lol:
I don't think they had Peeves at all in "Chamber", I think he was written out like Madame Hooch. I wish they'd have included some of his scenes in the "Stone" DVD, though.
You know, I just finished re-reading "Prisoner", and I can see how tough it's gonna be to write this script. So far, the movies have been huge with only one Quidditch game. But "Prisoner" has important stuff going on in all 3 games! I wonder how're they gonna do that... You think maybe they'll have to divide movies before "Goblet"? Because as far as I know "Goblet" was the only one they intend on dividing, the first half being released on Thanksgiving and the second on Christmas.
In fact, speaking of "Goblet", the way I see it is the Quidditch championship and the first test on the first movie and the 2nd and 3rd tests on the second movie.
Any of you have any answers for "Prisoner"'s script problem?

Prisoner is just going to be one movie and they're definately gonna divide up Goblet. I know, I thought the same thing about McKellen. But, I was thinking, if Gandalf fought Dumbledore, who do you think would win?

You know, especially after the movies, I feel like the series should be renamed to "Ron Weasley and the Philosopher's Stone". He's the best, and Rupert's face of fear is PRICELESS!!! :lol:

actually, Jo wouldn't give something like that away, hence the "..." after every word. People who think like you will snatch up the book like children to free candy for that very reason -applauds PR people-

I guess you're right... Before reading that card, I always thought it'd be either Dumbledore or Hagrid to die.
