Exactly.

Gotta love when somebody who has barely been a member here for 3 years tries to come in and act like he knows everything, while simultaneously contributing nothing other than telling everybody how wrong they are. Our insiders have a generally proven track record. They didn't become as respected as they are by being wrong all the time.

Spoiler alert: Sometimes projects change scope, or get canned altogether. Projects have been canceled after ground breaking before, for goodness sake. That's just the nature of this business, and especially this company.

It would do this poster well to go back through our insiders' histories and see how often they've been right. People like @marni1971 @Magic Feather @articos @MansionButler84 are incredible resources.
Well said!!!

Aw. Yondu (well, he may not be in the ride, so, in theory lol) and Mary will be in the same park together.

Perhaps an unpopular thought, but...I'd love it if a Mary Poppins attraction included a "Hidden Yondu". Nothing obvious. Nothing that the average guest would even notice, but if you look really hard at this one spot, you'd see a shape vaguely resembling Yondu.

Going back to what Marni had mentioned a few pages back, Im not sure a decision has been made as of yet. I'd love to see a good solid dark ride though, I think that could be done really well. Marie

I think you'd be more likely to see the Mary Poppins reference in GotG attraction.

They did use a variety of architectural styles from around the UK to make up the body of the pavilion, and when I think of United Kingdom ( though I know it is comprised of many regions) I still go back to Mary Poppins...and I think most people do .

Correction. The UK is comprised of four countries. Each with their own parliament and laws. In Scotland we have our own legal system, tax system, education system and autonomy over a lot more; the main exceptions are defence and foreign policy. NI is significantly separate, Wales less so but has far far more native speakers, many of whom regard English as much a foreign language as French or Spanish.

As for the architectural styles, the pavilion has Hampton Court Palace and the Cotswolds as specific places, plus some pretty generic town houses and gardens and a very cleverly designed 3 in 1 pub, both of which could be set anywhere.

There is no representation at all of Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland. It would be nice to have some nod to each in some way.

That said, I agree that a Poppins ride absolutely "makes sense". And I can't wait to see it happen.

appreciate the insight, actually the shop in back of the pavilion use to be the Scottish representation, it was called Pringle of Scotland, as it use to carry Scottish sweaters, hats, scarves etc, this was quite awhile ago now but it once was.

If they're going to use screens anyway, why not program in a "Yondu as Mary Poppins" version that would randomly pop up during each day... talk about re-rideability...
