Hello Everyone!
Im the newbie here. I can remember my first computer class and the huge computers taking up 1/3 of the room with the reel to reel tapes like the computers in the SSE scene. First computer programing I used was Fortran 4!!!!
BTW. LEE, MARNI1971, WDW1974 or anyother insider. Where is the Love in reguards to EPCOT??? We are 3 years away from number 30 and all we get are these crummy small projects??? WHERE HAS THE LOVE GONE???
Nothing much in sight. MK is getting the $$$ it seems. DHS may still get something and AK doesnt look like it will get much either. (No love for AK either ???)
Anyway hope you all will like me joining in on the board. 11 trips to WDW and 3 trips to DL. Hope to get to WDW in Dec 09 and Hawaii and DL trip in April 2010???

If you read through a bit you will see that DAK is possibly going to get a major addition in a couple of years. (mostly rumoured)
Unfortunately it seems like Epcot will not get anything.
^^ Even the DAK Project is doubted.

Welcome to the boards from a fellow Conn. resident. If you think your programming language is dated, I actually learned in COBOL, only my college had to construct an entirely separate BUILDING to house the mainframes!
I noticed your location, do you work for the Mouse as well?
Anyway, I agree that EPCOT seems to be missing some love right now, since its my favorite park. But at the same time it is getting a few touches here and there, and it got Test Track, Soarin', MS, and several do-overs of Innoventions in the last ten years. MK has gotten pretty much bupkiss except for MILF and Stitch (which really wasn't an improvement) and a few "pluses" to existing attractions (HM). I can be patient with EPCOT if the delay is to get the MK done right.

As far as i know the majority or almost all the money that WDW is getting right now is going to the MK.

I think we have more chance of MI in DAK right now than we do getting something celebration wise. They will probably just release a pin with Stitch on it.

Eh. I'm still pulling for SOMETHING, even if it is MK only. Hopefully EPCOT gets more attention the year later, too.

The Imagination rumour could be true and Epcot could get the attention it deserves. (though this is more likely in 5 years)
Hopefully. JII needs it and so does EPCOT.
The Walt Disney Company has no love for the Walt Disney World Resort. After 35 + years of operating the world's greatest vacation destination, they have apparently grown tired of it and no longer feel compelled to make it better. Its sole purpose now is to squeeze out as much money as possible from what is already here.
