Who says they would have to use projectors?

Are they video screens? They don't look it. Maybe they're rear projected? Hmm... I are very confuzzled with that statement. Thanks a lot for making me think!

I wouldn't count on them being screens or monitors. As you can see from the pic, the triagles really aren't that thick, more like 1/2 inch pieces of painted plywood or glass. Also, note the rather weak wire supports on the closest one. Surely a monitor would require a stronger and more stable support system?

I'd guess that if anything were to be shown on them it'd have to be via projectors, and if that were to happend, I think only a small number would show images, like 1 in 5 or so. There are just too many triangles for the number of projectors.

Talk about a 180 Top Club.

I wonder if the girl in the window will be the bar tender...:lookaroun

I never said anything about plywood, nor do i think they are plywood. I'm thinking they are plasma screens!

I know, my sarcasm was aimed at Disneyson and was completely unnecessary :o.

He called for ending the castle lighting ceremony so I felt I owed him a bit of sarcasm

But I think Lee had verified the triangles were video screens, but it was said without coming right out and saying that lol. Someone correct me please if wrong but I thought Lee had kinda hinted they were.

Roger, roger! Don't worry about the sarcasm. You aren't on the list which means sarcasm from you is fine.

This is true....I wonder how this is gonna work. Maybe they will just light up? Or mirrors again? That would work if onky a few were screens and the rest were lights.

The city? That`s what I was told.
That issue has been resolved.
:(:(:(

So sad.

Despite all this speculation, I keep thinking, why would they add anything to the descent if everyone is just looking at their cartoon? Would what you see on the screen change?

Hmmm...I did kinda say that didn't I?
And I meant it.
Screens. Some of them. Screens to have things projected on.

Can anyone please explain how this will affect the touchscreens? Are they going to run at the same time or will they show the Future video at the beginning and then do TC.

So... so far we have 3 theories for the triangle's wires (from least to most likely:

1: They're backlit with lights behind them (like silhouettes) - for the 180 Top rave

2: They're going to be projections projected from either behind or from the side (white curtains)

3: They're going to be replaced with plasma/LED/some sort of screens

In all of these, Tomorrow's Child is featured... I think. Did I get it down right?

Edit: Just thought of 2 more:

4: A combo of lighting and screens

5: When there are mirrors (IF there will be mirrors) there's gonna be lasers!

I'm back from a mini trip to WDW!

It's gonna take a while to send my video file to Martin and then he will need to look at it and enhance it and then post it. This might not be ready until tomorrow morning.

I have pictures, some of them flash, and alot of things to talk about.

I will be doing a new thread within an hour and tell you what I saw.

Hope you enjoy my new avatar :drevil:

This just gets more and more exciting here!! Thanks Lee, I knew I remembered correctly either that or I was losing it. And to a couple of you who recently said what will they add in the descent if they want us looking at the touch screens, well Martin also just said "the issue has been resolved" in terms of pleasing the general public and SE/Epcot fans; in other words us, the 180 Top Club.
Somehow someway both ways will be implemented in the traditional and tech sense.
