AI: Season 6

I thought Blake deliberately tried to tank it tonight. His vocals were off key for at least one stretch in every song he did. He did that jumping around mid-song in the last song that looked ridiculous [and out or character for "performer" Blake]. Either he just didn't make the effort [which I doubt] or he wants Jordin to win.

There's no question in my mind that Jordin was flawless in every aspect of her performance with the exception of the two little "choked up" voice cracks at the end of the last song that couldn't have been orchestrated [choreographed?] better if it was intentional :lookaroun

Of course, who knows how American will vote...
 I thought Blake threw the contest that as well....

Damn American you can't trust them.....they would steal Canada right under your noses if given a chance :lookaroun

No need to steal it... We'll swap the whole country for Florida... most of us live there three months a year anyway. It's too cold up here, you can have it!

Blake didn't sound good at all, never was a fan of him.

Jordin sang beautifully and will win tomorrow night.

Ahhhhh! Now way? Chris!!! I knew he had to come back this season. He was amazing! He looked like Jack Sparrow with his eye liner...:lookaroun

So the winning song from the songwriter contest is sappy, crappy, and made-to-order for Jordin.

Ditto... That song sucked big time but at least it was consistent with the rest of the show this year. To me, it sounded like it might have been written by those two guys immediately after their feel-good therapy session. :lookaroun Blake didn't have a chance with it.

I saw Peter Noone (Herman's Hermits) being interviewed yesterday on Cavuto and he said something to the effect that Jordin will win and Blake will become a superstar. :) I tend to agree with that assessment.

I wish both of these kids well.

I think Peter may have something there.
Jordin blew Blake away last night, but Blake didn't stand a chance with that song. Jordin deserves to win, but Blake will do well. . .maybe even better.

I thought I didn't care who won after Melinda was eliminated, but after last night's show, I really want Jordin to win. She was great. Blake may become a superstar, but I won't ever buy any of his records. Not my taste. He seems like a nice person, and was very gracious to Jordin in letting her decide to go second, so I do wish him well. I just don't want to listen to him any more.

Is it 5:00 yet?
For some reason I didn't think this finale stood up to past years. What happened to the choir coming out and singing with the contestants for their final song?? Not a very spectacular night. Why on earth would Jordin pick "Fighter" by Christina Aguilara? She should have picked a song that could have shown off her vocal talents better. Oh well she did do better than Blake though.
The best part of the night was Daughtry's performance.:sohappy:
He's coming to the Hard Rock Casino in Biloxi on Aug 4th. I am so there even though tickets start at $50.:D

Not the greatest night ever on Idol.
Jordin did a much better job on the last song than Blake did, but then again, that's simply not his style.
Still hoping for Jordin to win. :D

Did it look like Daughtry was wearing eyeliner and mascara? :lookaroun

Oh how predictable. This was probably the most boring finale they've ever had. The only high point for me was Kelly Clarkson. What a terrible season and you can tell by the lack of posts tonight!
