On a more recent note, I experienced Soarin'. What a great attraction! My younger bro, his fiancee, my g/f, and I sat there in our seats after the ride feeling a little misty-eyed afterwards. When we left Soarin' and got outside, the tears started to roll.

especially that last scene !!!

Watching my little 2 year old run around and asking a MILLION times a day, "Are we going to Mickey's house?" also his expressions while at Playhouse Disney at MGM when the real live Bear from the big blue house came out on stage, and treelow for that matter. He watches playhouse Disney every morning before school and for him to meet the characters was amazing.

I forgot about Playhouse Disney. My 2 yr old watches it every morning also before going to daycare. I remember the first time we saw this I was singing along with the songs (after listening to the CD in the car everyday and watching the show every morning) you know them all, and I was laughing and crying at the same time, watching him dance around. It's so cute watching the little guys during this show.

Okay, I had a moment recently. And I have to share...since it's a unique one.

I was one of the Stunt Kite Pilots for the launching of the Disney Magic in California. (if you were there, I was on the port side and I was the only female kite flyer...) I had never seen the cruise ships in person, so it's quite an amazing thing to be right there in the water next to it!! We were given the cue to join right along side the ship...the passengers were out on all the balconies, I could see them waving at us and hear them cheering...then the Magic's horn blasted "when you wish upon a star" and fireworks went off. I must say, it was quite a moment!

on a related note...if anyone has pics of the event, could you let me know? My hands were kinda full at the moment, so I dont have any. THANKS!!!

OH BTW! this weekend (june 3,4,5), is the last weekend to see the Stunt Kites at Epcot. I'll be flying saturday and sunday 11-3. Come say HI! and tell guest relations if you enjoyed seeing us, maybe Disney will ask us back!!

In May 2004, I was able to convince (not much work ;) ) 4 of my friends to come with me to celebrate our graduation from law school. (well... one person is a nurse in the emergency room at a really busy hospital and works the graveyard shift... so she needed a break and came with us!!!)

On our second night, we went to eat dinner at Cindy's and then we watched Wishes... (Picture of us on the way there: http://photoalbums.wdwmagic.com/showphoto.php?photo=14531&limit=recent)

Now, don't let the ears and crowns fool you!! We're a pretty stoic bunch when it comes to tears, you know heartless lawyers yadda-yadda (and besides, I told them that they weren't allowed into the MK without some kind of headgear!)

But when Aladdin said "Genie, I wish for your freedom" during Wishes, well I can't remember who started sniffling, but then we all started going and it turned into a giant mess of blubbering idiots. *sigh*

That was the first time I had ever really cried at the parks. Sure I had gotten goosebumps before, but never actual tears.

And now, I can't seem to stop! When I went with Mr. Lawyergirl last Feb/March, I started blubbering when we saw Wishes the night before our departure. Stupid pretty fireworks... Stupid music...

Hmmm, the last time I was in Disney World I got tears in my eyes during Illuminations (first time I ever saw it), Fantasmic! (NEVER happened before, and I've seen the show a few times), and on our last day when we were at the Magic Kingdom for extra magic hour- I got tears in my eyes when they played the song to open the park. Then I absolutely bawled during Wishes, probably because I knew that in a few hours I would be going home. I've also gotten teary-eyed during the American Adventure show, the old animation movie at MGM, and Mickey's Philharmagic. Oh yeah, and during the Remember the Magic parade for the 25th anniversary...

I cry a lot at Disney. My parents thought I would get better when I got older but its just getting worse. I cty when we enter Walt Disney World theough the sign. I cry when we yake our first walk down Main Street USA. The worst is when the lights go out in Magic Kingdom and the music for SpectroMagic starts that just kills me. When i see those muppet guys come out playing the trumphet its so great. Then I get upset when we have to leave especially our last monorail ride, we always visit Magic Kingdom last, and when we exit past the sign. At 15 me dad still goes to me dont worry well be back next year.

Oh man, I'm getting worse as I get older too.

The obvious times that everyone has mentioned, of course. From attractions to characters to earlier memories to realizing the trip is half over...

One time that was not "typical" was the first time we sat through the refurbed Hall of Presidents. It was at the end when they added a scene from 9/11. We're from Long Island. A lot of our friends and a lot of my students lost family and friends that day. I lost it. I looked at my husband and tears were rolling down his face too. To this day, we both tear up at that scene. Gets us every time.

One year after leaving that show, the daytime parade was approaching. It was very crowded. I stayed with the kids near the rope and my husband moved to another spot near the back to allow other kids to get up front. When the parade was over, he was a mess. Turns out there was an older child in a wheelchair with multiple disabilities. My husband could barely choke out the words of how amazed and overwhelmed he was by every CM in the parade who made it a point to come over to the child or acknowledge him from a float.

Honestly, thank you to each and every CM for giving all of us these magical moments of happiness, awe and wonder. Whether you're offstage or putting up with us hot, sweaty, smelly Guests, please know that we are grateful for what you do and for all of our tears of joy!

I feel lame admitting this but when I was 18-20ish I suffered from really bad depression and phillarmagic, lion king used to make me want to ball. It was a weird feeling of being really happy yet also feeling so lonely and miserable but not knowing why.

That sounds sad but it's not meant to. Back then, Disneyworld vacations were the only time I felt happy. Will be nice going back this year after making a recovery.

I'm an admitted crybaby...I cry during commercials, Extreme Home Makeover, just about any and all chick flicks...so I'm not embarrassed to admit that I got teary eyed a whole bunch at WDW...

Philharmagic
Winnie the Pooh (when we got to ride with Piglet!)
Splash Mountain (my dad used to tell me stories of Brer Fox and friends and he's no longer with us so it made me think of him)
Hall of Presidents (we saw it for the first time just a few days after Ronald Reagan's death)
Wishes
Fantasmic
watching my daughters dance with Magic Music Days, just a few weeks after my oldest broke her foot
Illuminations
Festival of the Lion King (the opening song always gets me!)
Riding the Aladdin ride (only because my son is a big chicken and didn't want to go, and I was so proud of him that he got on, and he ended up loving it and we rode it 3 or 4 times, the last time we were on it, Wishes started and it was a neat view!)

I could go on and on... :drevil:
Me too!
Kodak moments, Hallmark commercials, and the absolute worst, any Budweiser commercial that involves horses, dog, or kids. (Pretty much every single one) It's gotten so bad that as soon as I realize it's a Bud ad, I start weeping. And I HATE being! lol.
All things Disney make me cry! Anything nostalgic, the new Cinderella (Have courage and be kind...), every single show at WDW, seeing little girls dressed up as princesses, the list goes on. I'm pretty much a basket case from the minute I arrive and then I cry when leaving because I'm going home.
Also, when a CM gives us a bit of pixie dust.
Fun thread!
