Admit it, you felt it...

When we went in December of '04 my nephew was 1 yr old and seeing him react to the characters made me teary. I don't know why. It's gonna be worse this year because when he gets just the sight of Mickey he gets a big smile on his face...imagine when he sees the real thing again?

I always start tearing up around the last two hours of the day. Knowing that the end is near. And having depressing thoughts of when I'll be back (which almost always turns out to be the very next year). I cry during Spectromagic, Wishes, Illuminations and ESPECIALLY as I'm walking down Main Street to leave. I remember walking down Main Street once and noticed that my niece was crying. So I asked her what was wrong. She starts bawling and asks, "How will we know when we'll get back?" I tried not to laugh because I was thinking, now here's a girl after my own heart hehe.

I have to admit, I am a crier, but for a reason (have to try and save some shred of masculinity here). Well-done music gets me. Therefore, Illuminations goes right to my tear ducts. As for other attractions, the one that ALWAYS gets me (even more than Illuminations) is the American Adventure. "Two Brothers" starts it off, then Golden Dream finishes me every time. I will also say that Circle of Life's ending does, too, but that is because of the triggered memory from the actual film, and not necessarily the message of the attraction's film.

Those are the major ones.

I don't cry - I get boosebumps. I get them ALL THE TIME at WDW! Pretty much at all the instances listed in this thread already. Illuminations, Spectromagic, Fantasmic, any show or attraction with classic Disney music (mermaid, B&TB, philharmagic), and anything that has to do with Walt and the history of it all (like TGMR ending video montage).

This goes back a bit, but at one time Disney/MGM featured a compilation of Disney's saddest moments during a film presented in the Animation building. The one-two-three punch of Old Yeller's death, that of Bambi's mother and then ''Baby Mine'' from Dumbo would do the trick...

Three disney sob stories:

* One summer I was watching IllumiNations with a friend at the France vip area. There was a wedding reception in the vip area below us. The newly wed couple shared a dance during "We Go On". Everything was beautiful and perfect- and we were sobbing by the end! (I'm tearing up now just thinking about it!)

* As most of you know, a Holiday tag with "Let There be Peace on Earth" was added to IllumiNations this past year. The first time I saw it was after I had performed in the Candlelight Processional. I was with my mom (who had the song played at her wedding) and a friend (a woman about my mom's age- a veteran of several years performing in Candlelight, as well as active military). Three women, tough on the outside, who melted like butter over the fireworks!

* I had a great suprise when I took my traditions class- it was taught by a long time friend of mine! I was hired during the 100 Years of Magic Celebration. At the end of the class we were shown a video. It was scenes of magic happening at Disney, set to the celebration's theme song (share a dream come true). I cried as soon as the video started. At the end of the video my friend came running into the room. He told me that he has to leave the room every time they show that video, or else he would be in a worse state than I was!

Tapestry of Nations, Reflections of Earth, but especially during Philharmagic with "whole new world". Thank goodness I am not the only one. I feel so much better now.

i get misty eyed just from seeing the happiness of my children. to see those guys having so much fun just floors me. disneyworld is truly a magical place. nowhere else have we been brings out that much glee in them. that's why we come every april for their birthdays. that's why we will continue to come every year until the glee is gone. hopefully, it never will. i always dreamed of going to disney as a child. neither of my parents worked so we were dirt poor. i always said that if i had kids that under no circumstance would i ever hold their dreams from them just because i was lazy and didn't want to work. that's why i went out and got a great job so i could help make their dreams come true. i quess everytime we go, i think about how i would have liked to have done this in my childhood with my parents and that makes me a little misty-eyed.

This made me think of an addendum to my post. I don't have children of my own yet. And it's a slightly painful grip to my heart watching parents enjoying the magic with their children. *sigh* I'm getting misty just thinking about it.

I am definitely a crier and it happens often at Disney. It happens during Wishes. I think it's the little girl's voice and especially when she talks about your wishes coming true.
I also totally had the tears rolling during the Walt Disney story at MGM. All the old footage of Walt and Mickey really brought back the childhood, innocent quality of Disney and got me.  I was totally not expecting it. Hope no one saw me! :lookaroun

I have gotten chills many times: American Adventure, SpectroMagic, just to name of few.

I've teared up many times too:

CoP because everytime I ride, I think, "Why can't life be like this." It is so simple and so hopeful, and sometimes, it is hard to get hoping like that.

Wishes at the point when the Blue Fairy is speaking about how we must always believe in or wishes. The music there just lifts and resolves so well.

IllumiNations once the globe opens up.

Christmas time was very emotional. At first it was the Candlelight Processional when the conductor turns to the audience and conducts them in Silent Night. AND then, we saw IllumiNations with the Let There Be Peace on Earth Finale.

Our first night at WDW we always watch Illuminations....I always tear up. Even when I don't think it will happen this time, it does.

I grew up in CA and we went to Disneyland every year. We moved when I was 12. I went back about 18 years later and went to Disneyland for the first time, I was alone. I walked out of the tunnel area into Main Street and every orginal feeling I had growing up came out. It was a truly magical moment.

We were at WDW during 9/11. That Thursday, we went to the American pavillion and saw the show. I couldn't hold back. Then ending scene and the music were to much. Most of the folks in the theater were crying. My husband and I agreed it was one of the most moving situations we had ever been in.

The finale for Wishes gets me sometimes. I also get chills during Philharmagic during the You Can Fly part. And I almost always cry at the end of the day when I'm leaving. Taking that final walk down Main Street, I keep turning around to get that last look @ the castle. Then I always look so depressed on the final monorail ride back to the TTC.
