A Terror-rific Spirited 13th (ToT fans have lots to fear)...

Frozen was fun on the first couple of watches, but it has gotten worse on subsequent watches. The music was a big negative personally. The only song I kind of like is Do You Wanna Build a Snowman, (and even the lyrics are stupid). Actively dislike Let it Go. Even Pocahontas (the only 90s renaissance movie I don't care for) still had fantastic music (and animation). I also disliked Olaf and found the villain stupid and pointless.

Not a big fan of Tangled either. I actually enjoyed Princess and the Frog far more than either Tangled or Frozen, and it is far from perfect. Though I generally detest Randy Newman, I still found Almost There and Friends on the Other Side enjoyable.

I have only seen Zootopia once so far, but I enjoyed it a lot. It remains to be seen whether I will feel the same on subsequent watches, but it is probably my favorite non-Pixar Disney animated movie in a very long time.

Yet to see Moana, trailers haven't sparked my interest. And once again I dislike the songs. I've seen reviews claiming it's the best since *insert 90s Disney movie here*. Same happened with Tangled and Frozen, and they fell obscenely short of that standard.

I'm very sad we won't ever see a more traditional Disney adaptation of original Snow Queen fairy tale (Walt Disney or Eisner era style adhering more closely to the story and characters, along with some beautiful classical music and hand drawn animation). The idea of a Frozen 2 though absolutely disgusts me.

I agree with raven24 regarding Lilo & Stitch, fantastic movie and great sister story (besides the tons of other great things about it). As for "strong independent woman", Mulan is far and above Frozen as well.

I literally sat through all of Frozen with a straight face the first time I saw it. It did nothing for me, but I know lots of people enjoy it.

Disney feels the need to make another Frozen film because it's a money-maker. Not to worry, I won't be watching it. I'm more interested in The Incredibles 2.
Pity they shelved their Hunchback of Notre Dame Broadway show for Frozen.

Btw, I cannot wait for Moana's Broadway adaptation!!!

I loved Frozen, but I'm dreading the sequel. It doesn't need it. Besides, the Frozen short about Anna's birthday is apparently canon, and it created major plot holes for Elsa's powers (can she create life from ice and make floral clothing? According to that short, yes). :cautious:

The only thing I want an answer to is whether or not Anna had magic as a child. I could have sworn that she was going to have Fire powers at the end of Frozen based on Grandpappie's quote about removing all magic and all memories of magic from her. To me, that sounds like he removed latent magical powers from her (and I also believe it's more canon than Elsa's non-ice dressmaking powers). If they do a movie based on that, and if they make the trolls a bit more frightening (they don't seem to take no for an answer), I might just watch.
I think the Frozen sequel will be great. I can just see Stitch traveling to Arendelle to meet with Queen Elsa and battle each other for supreme power of the realm and with everyone living happily ever after. This idea would be perfect to adapt to ToT rather than GotG.

I just expected the Heatmiser to show up. Maybe he'll be from Germany...and we can get a ride in Germany.

Hunchback wasn't shelved because of Frozen, it was shelved because present-day Disney cannot figure out how to market a Disney show that isn't kid-appropriate. Apparently they've forgotten Aida and have no interest in relearning the skillset, so more princess shows it is!

Just got back from Epcot has anyone commented on the expansion inside Mitsukoshi? They made this anime only room that was definitely not there my last trip in September.

I remember a few years ago when Frozen came out it was defended vehemently. I still insist Tangled and Princess and the Frog are better and I much prefer them (don't forget Tangled the Series next year!). I understand why many loved Frozen, but it was hardly the second coming. I haven't seen Moana yet (ducks and hides). And not that one has to do with the other but Good Dinosaur was a huge missed opportunity. Felt like a waste of my time.

Lilo and Stitch is so underrated IMO. I loved it.

I'm very harsh and critical when it comes to modern movies. However Moana was the best Cinematic experience I've had in YEARS. That's saying something ;)

Plus I sound like I'm 50 but I'm actually 18. Lol

Uni is sending out surveys about character dining and upcharge events. I guess we knew it was only a matter of time. Upcharging is now officially the herpes of theme parks.

Ooh, now this is promising. I'm often up for some character dining, especially if they make it Marvel (and not just the kiddie shows for the toddler set)

This is the new room in Mitsukoshi It's to the right of the registers in the entrance and next to the first anime esq display case. I was here last september and this was not open to my knowledge this used to be a wall with a shelf of Merch!

As seen here! The new room is where those boxes on the wall are in the right half of this photo!

Inside the room is a bunch of anime merch not seen outside. I am going to guess they noticed that it was a top seller and they decided to expand and give a room purely dedicated to it? Though the room lacks any of the charm that the rest of the place has and almost seems abandoned. There was no one at the register until me and my brother were in there for more than 10 minutes.

AnnaElsa's ice powers changed her own royal ceremonial clothes into the blue gown... so... yeah, she has cloth power as well as ice power as established by the movie.

Pssst... Aida is a princess. :D

Elsa* and if we are getting technical it seems Elsa can create ice and what color that ice glows as seen in the movie when she creates the castle and it's color responds to her mood. Meaning that so long as her ice enveloped the dress she could technically color it blue? But we are talking technicalities in a film featuring a talking snowman. Also isn't Aida a princess in the play?
