Would the rights to Pokèmon be separate from the other Nintendo properties because it is technically owned by the Pokèmon Company?

It may be mostly controlled by them but Nintendo holds the trademark I believe. It's sort of confusing.
It's more like a 3 way split between Nintendo, Game Freak and Creatures. TPC was jointly founded by them to run the licensing empire.

New Kingdom Hearts 3 trailer. D23 will have another trailer revealing a new world

Some sort of Kingdom Hearts film series smoothing out the plot's wrinkles would be a much better use of resources then the live action remakes, especially as we get closer to the wrapup of the story

Yeah I'm done being excited for these since it still won't be done until 2025 at this point.

Look at old pictures of WDW especially around the Town Square and Hub areas. You can see that up until the early to mid 2000's, those places looked a lot more like what is still at DL today.

Yup that changed when Iger decided to run WDW as a mall with a stiff cover charge and attraction success was defined as gross margin per square ft

Notice one feature of dying malls. None of them have places to sit and relax. As their management sees them as 'shopping spaces' not social spaces.

Where i am there are some dying malls and some successful malls. The successful have both social space and shopping space.

Having just seen a pic posted from the castle cake days, I sure miss the massive trees that used to be in the hub. The new hub is nice, I know many disagree but it is, it's just lacking trees and actual benches to make it feel more like a park. They have seating built into the concrete walls but actual benches would be nice. Shade would be nice.

Mall-ification of Disney parks started more with Pressler, but yeah.

I'm still expecting a Switch version of both this and FFVII. Why? A few reasons.

1. Square Enix has been very buddy buddy with Nintendo lately and I think they're the biggest third party supporter of the Switch right now.

2. The Japanese prefer portables over home consoles and Switch is absolutely killing it in sales.

3. Both games run on Unreal Engine 4 which is fully supported on Switch.

4. http://gematsu.com/2017/04/20-unreal-engine-4-games-development-switch-japan

At this point I'd be shocked if at least one of them wasn't announced.

Scratch my last post, it'll be on Switch 2 lol.

It is a mash up of Disney and Final Fantasy after all. That kind of stuff never really appealed to me either.
I tried to like Kingdom Hearts but got tired of running around in circles to collect crap so somebody would finally give me half a tip I needed to move to the next level. ;)

It's similar to Disney's ownership of Marvel, who still operates semi-independently and publishes plenty of comics not considered "Disney-friendly," even though Disney fanboys suddenly thought they loved and understood the comics simply because the Mouse purchased them.

Marvel might as well be a separate company, especially since Uni holds the most lucrative theme park rights and Sony has the Spidey films, but Disney still profits from the licenses as well as the overall ownership.
