A Spirited Valentine ...

I need someone to verify this before I go getting worked up.

I'll probably get crap for this... but it almost seems like 'too much'. I was hoping they'd save a few of their properties instead of going the kitchen sink route.

Although it looks like a really well rounded Fantasyland style approach. Lots of little bits and piece with a bit show stopper. I also like that ET is preserved. This single handedly course corrects the attraction menu monotony.

Edit: Thanks @Mike S

Over on OU this was declared as very old and the initial pitch to sell Nintendo on the idea. There's no Kirby, Zelda, or Pokémon anymore which I think is good because those last two deserve their own lands in IoA and Site B. I'm asking how relevant the rest of it is. The Yoshi dark ride that's been rumored might be what replaced that pitifully small Zelda area.

Oh yeah.
Wait, no Zelda or Pokemon? What's the latest rumor then?

Mario Kart, Donkey Kong, and Yoshi.

Been that way for a long time and like I said I'm happy. If all they did for Zelda was a theater show I'd grab my torch and pitchfork. Now they can save it for an expansion land.
Not sure how I feel about that. But this is US and they tend to move much faster on things than I'm used to with Disney.

Thanks for the info!

This some sort of leak? If so it's a pretty big leak. And that land will be huge if true, 5 mini zones, at least 3 big rides.

Zelda attaction, Donkey Kong Attraction, Mario Kart (Multi-level, multi-track it looks like), Pokemon Trading Academy, and another general stage show. Takes up most all of KidZone (ET will be the only thing left) and about half the expansion pad behind Simpsons. It's very big.

Those are outdated plans; Zelda is being saved for a future expansion [pack]. ;)

Also, judging from his Twitter feed, Gary is an a$$hole. But I digress.

It's about a six hour drive between Tokyo Disney Resort and Universal Studios Japan. The bullet train really helps with travel times, but would a construction crew be commuting that far?
I'm far from an expert, but my thought was that crews would be moving from other areas of Japan semi-permanently for huge projects like an Olympics, not necessarily commuting daily. Maybe a metro of almost 40 million can handle it "in house", though.

There are patents done by Universal for a mine cart coaster that appears to jump over breaks in the tracks like in various Donkey Kong games.

Also, given that Mario Kart is one of the rides. Characters from outside the regular Mario games might appear at this ride. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't appear there however.
To clarify, I did say Mario UNIVERSE in my original post. Donkey Kong and almost every character that appears in the Mario Kart series are very much a part of that.

Yeah I don't think I've ever been at WDW and said to myself "gee, I'd really like to sit down right now but I don't see any place to do so."

EDIT: Scratch that... there's a shortage of seating by Casey's at peak meal times, but that's really a table-and-chair issue, not a bench issue.
Look at old pictures of WDW especially around the Town Square and Hub areas. You can see that up until the early to mid 2000's, those places looked a lot more like what is still at DL today.

Another casualty of these early plans seems to have been a PeopleMover/Seuss Trolley type Bullet Bill ride that can be seen as being on an upper level of the entrance area. Also listed above the Mario Kart building is a Luigi's Mansion play area and Bowser Airship ride that both haven't been confirmed or denied as still being in the plans. I hope they are.

Now that's more like it. Given the layout, it will be odd if ET is still sitting in the middle if everything like it is right there.

I don't doubt that there used to be more than there is now. Other people pay way more attention than I do to that kind of thing. My point is simply that, regardless of any apparent reductions, I don't consider there to be any kind of shortage in the current state.
