Footage of the Shin Godzilla ride they had at Universal Studios Japan. First person 3D film where you are a soldier taking part in defending Osaka from Godzilla.

Wow! I know that is utube with no 3D but it really looks bad. I hope it stays far far away.

Aren't the cinnamon buns still available at Gaston's?

I thought the general consensus was that food quality at WDW has gone up a bit in recent years, on average.

This is not a facetious post, I haven't been to actually say this with an ounce of authority. An actual question.

It has gone up.

But the narrative for some is that WDW sucks no matter what and everything is awful.

Good to hear since it's their last remaining opening day ride. It will still be interesting to see how that all comes together.

Speaking of opening day rides.....We were on the Jungle Cruise last Friday, and the entire Rhino was missing from the 'expedition members trapped up the pole' scene. Sort of made sense with several hyenas off to one side. Guess the rhino broke down?

But it was Iger who put 'Sunglass Hut' and Havianas and Starbucks in the parks. Pressler only Dreamed about doing that.

I know Starbucks was a popular addition but i would have preferred it as an additional option not a wholesale replacement for 'The Bakery' the cinnamon buns and other items were treats you could have ONLY at WDW and are another piece of the WDW experience chipped away, The Starbucks treats you can have anywhere.

The departed Cinnamon Buns were something I looked forward to eating at WDW. Take them away and i had one less reason to visit WDW.
In defense of the weatherman...Eisner put McDonalds in the parks at WDW:confused::eek::banghead:...Iger at least let that contract expire without renewing it.

I have no real issue with generic Sunglasses or Starbucks in the parks. IMHO they could have added Starbucks to FLE during construction without touching the nostalgia of Main Street, but I think they wanted it closer to the beginning of the park. I'm not a fan of it being there although it actually blends better than I thought it would. I have no issue with the placement of Starbucks in the other parks.

As to Starbucks with the exception of the bakery i also have no problem with placement. And the one in DHS is particularly well done i think.

As someone who enjoys good coffee Starbucks was a long overdue upgrade from the Nescafe dishwater

Disney had infamously terrible coffee for decades. Now there's good coffee available in the parks. The Starbucks staff at EPCOT are always fantastic also. That's a win.

And I had no issue when they sold McDonald's French fries in the parks.

Those cinnamon buns are still available. :)

No the Original bakery Cinnamon buns are NOT available. The ones at Gaston's are Maple-Cinnamon completely different flavor and texture and sickly sweet.

Yes it was an upgrade. Nescafe dishwater :joyfull: but such an accurate statement. I like Joffreys too but I usually stick to the iced or frozen cappuccino from them

I like the DHS one and the AK one is nice too. I don't care much for the Epcot one but I suppose it fits fine. I have to admit I almost never stepped foot in Main Street Bakery before it was Starbucks so I don't know what they did to the inside. I think it blends well for the most part. Can anyone point me to before and afters?

The ones at Gaston's are a Maple-Cinnamon bun, Much coarser texture and drier and sickly sweet sugar coating

Im guessing mass produced somewhere offsite
