But this, more than anything I've discovered lately about Disney really just puts me in a bad mood. The sheer ineptitude of that whole situation just feels so deflating. I used to think pretty highly of Disney Imagineering and their Creativity. But ever since I started reading these boards I have sort of started getting this bad taste in my mouth towards Disney. Not really sure I can ever see Disney the same way. I really hope all the rumored expansions and current projects are really a huge success and knock it out of the park. For that might restore some of the faith I've recently lost in Disney.

Reading these boards will do that to you. If it helps remember that if it weren't for exaggeration, these boards would not even exist. Some is true, and even Walt had his bad days, but, not everything that is stated here is stated by experts in the field. But, there is a lot of armchair quarterbacking along with some amazing ability to know what happened in those meetings when no information has ever been released. It truly is mind boggling. My advice is to not believe anything you read or hear and only half of what you see. It makes for a much happier life.

just so i'm clear: anecdotes from confirmed insiders, who have proven time and time again to have credible information from sources inside the industry and the company, are to be taken as conjecture, but your assessment of these anecdotes should be taken as fact? got it.

Did I say my opinion of what people post here is right and should be taken as fact? I was stating I found some posts amusing when they are obviously just a persons opinion. Hence when I said sometimes. I didn't say anything about the "known insiders"- I'm talking about the people that aren't insiders of any kind yet spout off everything they believe happens behind close doors- as if it is fact. And then other people take off on that information as if it was.

the poster you replied to was saying that, and you agreed. so i assume you agree(d) with that sentiment.

also, yes, there is grandstanding in internet message boards. that much probably shouldn't come as a surprise.

So I'm not allowed to say how I find the grandstanding amusing?

I highlighted the part of the other members post that I was talking about- who else would know what happened in those meetings but the people there?!

I was also responding because of the member saying her opinion had changed since "reading about the real Disney" on this board- when there is so much grandstanding here that shouldn't be taken as fact.

But hey, just like you can't say anything bad about Disney to the "pixie dusters", I guess you can't disagree with the "real" Disney fans' opinions, and their "insiders".
