The big tanks run on turbines! The same principle as jet engines. They can also run on many different types of fuels. It's not a moron thing... it's because turbines have better power/weight ratios and are flexible.

But their favorite fuel is JET-A, Plain kerosene works as well, Gasoline will work too but the burner cans will burn up in about 100 hours - so not recommended.

So its not just strictly a JET-A thing? Because being soley dependent on one specific type of fuel isnt very smart, IMO.

Tossing out free stuff has become Disney's go to tactic that has facilitated a lot of destruction.
I actually never used the certificate. My DH and I didn't want to use it. We saved it and bought the ice cream with our own money. Saved the certificate as a memory. I thought it was a really thoughtful, and a "Disney"(as in Walt), gesture.

Seriously. You read the book Disney War, which heartily eviscerates Eisner for a handful of bad decisions and missed opportunities....and it's hard to imagine any of them coming close the idiocy displayed by Rasulo and Iger over Potter.....such morons.

Disney War is a great book, and pretty much a must-read for any fan, but I'm *dying* to read 'Disney War II', giving all the secrets of the Iger years. We'll probably have to wait a decade for anything like that, but to get the real inside story on Potter, MyMagic, Avatar, Star Wars etc... well that would be some sweet reading.

New ones or the bulletproof older ones :)

Man, I'm picturing a display of HP printers throughout history taking over that moldy, boring, Stave Church. They could even sell all different kinds of printer supplies in the gift shop. I'm thinking toner, drums, everything. AWE FRIGGIN SOME. There could even be a display for the stinkjet.

Sincerely doubt that will ever happen.

Wonder what the story is here. Speculate away.

Orlando Sentinel reports that Erin Wallace is leaving WDW...

Longtime Disney executive Erin Wallace is leaving the company to join Learning Care Group, which runs La Petite Academy child-care centers.

Wallace, who works in Orlando, has been executive vice president of operations strategy, planning and revenue management for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts since 2009. She oversees functions including attractions, entertainment, lodging and MyMagic+ products and services. She has been with the company 30 years.

And let's not forget the deal was intentionally done before the new capital gains tax rates kicked in, Once again a limosine liberal does what they accuse others of doing putting the almighty buck ahead of the 'disenfranchised' they profess to be the champions of so Lucas got to keep an extra 800 Mil or so but it's ok because it went to a person with an 'evolved' sense of social justice,

Not some grubby small businessman who's trying to save for college and retirement and keep a roof over his family's head oh and by the way pay his employees.

The hypocrisy shown by Lucas and others in this case makes me ill.

Post of the Day! :)

Really? Why? I toured the place with a friend and it looked great and all the food (the burgers, not the sushi!) did too. I will probably try it on my next visit. As to $3.19 for a soda ... you sound like my Spirited mother. Be glad you are in the USA and not Europe where it's 4-5 Euros for a bottle and the concept of free refills does not (with a couple of exceptions) exist.

We ate on one of the outdoor balconies at Cowfish -- great view and wonderful Orlando-in-January weather. The inside décor was okay, but there wasn't much atmosphere on the balcony.

I had the bison burger with avocado, cheese, and chipotle mayo. It was good, but it wasn't great like the bison burger at Ted's Montana Grill. The Cowfish fries were sorta awful. My wife's grilled veggies were a much better option.

Service was ok, if a little indifferent. The waiter's walkthrough of the menu was delivered at lightning speed. I'm sure he gets tired of repeating it, but his demeanor didn't to anything to endear me to the place.

In short, we'll probably will try Antojitos next time we eat in CityWalk.

Lots of Alcodollars for Drunkytown.

True. That is the total lure of Epcot now for so many, Drunkfest in the Spring and now Drunkfest most of the fall even with the other parks moving into Holiday mode.

This is why I chuckled when so many were up in arms about liquor being sold at BOG at the MK. Disney will now do whatever brings revenue or cuts overall operation costs.

A Frozen Attraction in the middle of the World Showcase is the same revenue builder. Can't wait to see what happens when all these little princesses are parading around in their heels and gowns made up at Bippity Boppity in the middle of fall drunk fest when Frozen launches. Drunkfest is not the best place for all these Little Princesses, it is now the F&W fest of yesteryear.
