I work under contract for a lot of sports teams, mainly baseball. Every time I work a game I wonder how the heck those people 60 years ago sat through a game in the summer in dark suits. It blows my mind.

I probably was in the very end of the era, however, it doesn't take actual experience or a degree in math to add up that Clothing worn over and over without cleaning, the hot, humid summer months, no antiperspirants and the normal habit of bathing once a week whether you needed it or not to = NASTY! But, from a distance, they sure looked classy. They could just walk right into any high end restaurant and meet the dress code. Health codes might have been a problem, but, the dress codes were nailed.
