SDL opens in less than 4 hours!

I genuinely love Marty, but the best park that Disney has ever done?!? Spreading the PR on a bit thick for free trip.

http://www.ocregister.com/articles/disney-719240-shanghai-park.html

That one did rub me as something that's not his true opinion.

But what shocked me even more was "The paving changes from land to land and area to area. That is impressive.” Really? That's impressive? Because it doesn't already do that at nearly every Disney park in the world?

Glad he made it out for the opening. But that's just ridiculous beyond words. It's not good for the company, it's actually kind of embarrassing. If you're going to talk about something in specific, Marty, please choose wisely next time!
Miceage had one today that wasn't too positive besides Tron and Pirates.

Miceage/Micechat having a less-than-glowing outlook on a park that isn't Disneyland? Unheard of!
Is nobody going to comment about how good Mickey's new head looks in that video?

I actually don't think it looks better than the old one. I don't mind it, it has it's plusses, but I think the older face had a more captivating look to it.

It takes time to get used to

No, everything that was on the final plan for opening is there ... except for Toy Story Land, which is sorta ... kinda ... maybe ... being built very soon and sorta there now.

Celebration Cafe, which you listed as one of the food places in Toy Story Land back a few years ago, is actually open and serving food. Though it's not themed to Toy Story at all, and I don't know if that plans to change.

I hope they at least change something, because nothing in that picture invokes the feeling of a celebration. Except for the fact that celebrations usually look temporary...

Let me also say that Shrek just flat out sucks and should've been removed ages ago, lol. Give us that rumored Secret Life of Pets dark ride for Universal Hollywood in that spot. That ones supposed to be physical btw and the walls are up in the area it's supposed to go in. Can't say much on Terminator since I haven't seen it in years.
Yeah about that: Universal's planning on reviving the Shrek franchise now that they own Dreamworks

Soon all will be reminded that Shrek is Love, Shrek is Life.

Jeez I can't believe he worked that awful 'authentically Disney, distinctly Chinese' line into the opening plaque. Plus every Disney buzzword you can imagine - magical, fantasy, dreams... quite the kitchen sink.

Indeed.
I personally find the 'copycat' inscription for Shanghai's Park mimicking Disneyland's original Dedication to be in very bad taste.

Call me a purist or a nutter if you wish, but that famous set of words on the Orignal Disneyland's plaque mean something and should remain only at 'Walt's Original' and not be 'bastardized' elsewhere....exspecially with such a poor attempt to try to emulate the source.

Just rubs me the wrong way....and I cringed when I first saw the text.
At first, I seriously thought it was a joke.
Nope. It's really the Dedication for Shanghai Park.

Eh.
Seems rather shallow and empty worded to me.

You mean the "To all who come to this happy place" thing? All the international Disneyland plaques use it.
