I have heard of the mythical pyramid things being added to the end of SSE that "any day now" will activate and make the descent better.

Whats the rumor for SM?
Triangles... not pyramids. Don`t start rumours!

Potters specs alone wipe the floor of anything in central Orlando.

*sigh*

From everything I've heard, it's gonna blow us all away. JK wouldn't let just any old run of the mill attraction get built, so I have faith.

For sure.
JKR and her people have been looking over Uni's shoulder very closely during the whole project. (Some at Uni would say too closely.)
Imgine if you will, JKR saying to Uni something to the effect of, "No. That's not good enough. Make it better or we walk."
That's not an exact quote....but it's JKR's way or no way over there.
As it should be.:D

Yes. That ride will be quite amazing. More so than any of Disney's recent offerings.
So why can't she do that for her movies too?:lookaroun:rolleyes:

Hermoine is good

Really? Good? She's flat out terrible in my opinion, as all the "child" actors have been throughout the entire series. Thankfully the supporting cast of adults are uniformly excellent and most are inspired choices. I'd watch any Harry Potter movie just to see Alan Rickman as Professor Snape. He's by far my favorite character in the series and Rickman really nailed him.

1 & 2 are just god-awful. No soul at all to them, they are just rote, cram as many details from the books into this movie as possible exercises by a hack director.

3 is the only one that I'd say is "good", though it deviated quite a bit from the book. I prefer that and a film that has a style to it to the first two.

4 & 5 were both pretty bad. There's a fine line between adapting a written work and maintaining the spirit of the novel and then losing a lot of what made the novels so entertaining in the name of cramming in as many action beats as possible. 4 & 5 were the Cliff's Notes versions of the books. I still find it hilarious that the longest book in the series gets the shortest movie.

I don't anticipate 6, 7 & 7.5 being any better, though at least they've expanded the final book to two parts.

You know what? I think it's time to break out my blanket statement.:D:lol:

Blanket Statement: All the movies were horrible because reading them as books the first time were so much better.
