A Change In Strategy

True, but it's a bit of each.

Bean counters didn't design UNM, MILF, SGE, etc.

Well, MILF isn't THAT bad..... SGE was OK the first time but is now completely useless.... UNM?

Not sure what really went into these attractions, but, I am sure the original blue prints were so much better than what we got due to: COST CUTTING BEAN COUNTERS :fork:

By the way, the cost-cutting moves really annoy me...

UNM=Under New Management.

And yes, I'm sure budgets were cut, but all the moeny in the world couldn't help a poor concept, and all those attractions are poor concepts IMO.

I think MILF is fairly good, but has horrible placement. It's in the wrong land and the wrong park.

Could it be better? Sure!

Is it a solid C ticket as is? Yes!

I'm not a fan of an attraction made for a technology, because that's what MILF is. WDI wanted to push the LCI, and we got MILF. I've never really laughed while watching the show.

While I will agree with it being an attraction made for the technology, that doesn't make it horrible. I have been to it several times, each time most people I see leaving have grins on their face. It isn't one of my all time favorite attractions, nor will I wouldn't cry if it goes away, but it still is a heck of a lot better than UNM and SGE, IMO.

My main point is that other than the location, other things should be higher priorities.

Ahh, yes, UNM is a sad replacement... something to see once and then never see again.... not even as a filler to your day... Please Disney, bring back the original!!! Or at least make it something worth seeing and not something obnoxious...

While it may be an attraction based solely for technology, it isn't horrible... And maybe it is a filler, like a tester, to see how far this technology can go...

I still think it should be part of Pixar Place, and added to the end of Monsters Inc Roller Coaster, once that ride is finally done...

Why I do this, I don't know. But a short rant comes to defend my profession.

Again, you are conferring on accountants far more authority than we actually have. Accountants are (usually) the ones who help figure out how much things will cost to build/operate and who help figure out how much revenue such things will generate. They do this with the help of various others in the company. Then MANAGEMENT decides whether they like those numbers or not and, if not, what to do about it. So complain about cost cutting if you like, but direct your anger at the ones who actually make the cost cutting decisions, not the ones who present the information.

/end rant

I think Sinbad is going away from IOA and being taken over by Potter land. I hope that Universal does a better job with that land than they did with Jurrasic Park. I though the JP theme lent itself to all kinds of rides but basically it's Animal Kingdom with one water ride.

Yeah with one water ride that's a watered-down (literally) version of it's Hollywood pre-decessor. I mean the ride is longer and more impressive AA. But the drop itself is tame compared to USH and you hardly even get wet. Unless you're sitting in the Jurrasic Park Terrace picnic area eating a nice calm lunch as my brother and Dad found out lmao.
