A Change In Strategy

So is the new attraction for Japan totally wiped off the map now? I mean awhile back, or this past fall it sounded like it was something in the works or being considered.

I wonder who the sponsor could or would be here for Stormrider or the whole WoL? For some reason I dont see stormrider coming here at all I dont know why I think that.

You would think the OP would pop in here and clarify. I know they were lurking here since the controversy started.:brick:

Again, I think $30 million could build a "Turtle Talk" level attraction in the WoL building just to absorb people while a lengthy refurb of Imagination or something else takes place. I'm sticking to that theory until disneyinsider clarifies.

Meh the last time I heard of another Turtle Talk style attraction was a preschool Playhouse Disney thing with Mickey possibly replacing Mermaid at DHS

Let's hope not. Why don't they just get rid of Playhouse Disney Live and bring Animagique to that spot? In fact, why don't we get Cinemagique too. It is such a cool show and would fit like a missing piece of the puzzle in Hollywood Studios.

I can't imagine that Toontown is big on the list of things that need to be redone. It really is a simple character meeting spot, and I'm not sure they want it to be any more than that.

I'd rather see cash spent somewhere else.

IMO if they do anything with ToonTown it'll involve Bulldozers. But I'm sure they have space for the Mermaid ride elsewhere.... Think maybe the lagoon might come into play? (sorry to open another Pandora's box lol)

You mean the 20K lagoon because that's where it's going to be built. Right behind the Pooh Playground.

No I agree too it doesnt excite me all that much but sure would be better than the current state of WoL. I would have liked to have seen Soarin as part of an avaiation themed pavilion and in its own building and pavilion instead of the traffic nightmare that is part of the Land now.

I totally agree! Soarin' doesn't really fit with the Land theme very much.

Yeah but is it gonna be on top of the lagoon? Like I guess they could drain it and possibly use the hole as ride space and have TLM dark ride go down to the basement level first (Sort of like how HM and POTC work at Disneyland).

Chances are it will be on top but you never know.

What lagoon? The lagoon isn't there any more.

Here's a shot from Google Earth:

The lagoon has been filled in for a bunch of years. I guess you don't get to WDW often?

It was my first time and I toured alone so didn't see the need to do much in Fantasyland or ToonTown specially since I've been to DLR twice and seen Snow White, PPF, IASW and Mad Tea Party (been there done that...thrown up on the t-shirt.)

:ROFLOL:Thats funny, I was reading and thinking lagoon? But yeah it looks like the pooh playground is barely even a scratch into all the land that is available there now. Perfect for Ariel and her friends, among other things.
