WHO: 3rd go around alone!!

So, I had lots of mixed feelings as if I even wanted to do TR's on these trips. Other than the 2 longer ones the other 4 were really just to visit with a dear friend who had just moved there(I mentioned that in my last TR). She moved from Pittsburgh to about 1/2 hour from Disney. When visiting her I chose to stay at Disney b/c for the most part I was by myself so I felt safer. Also, in my down time when I wasn't visiting her I could go to the parks "for free", so to speak, since I have an AP. I looked at that as a "free" source of entertainment.

Since I really didn't plan on doing TR's for these I don't have great notes. Most of what is going to trigger my memories will be my pictures!!

And I am so waiting to hear what our @amjt660 will come up with about the Rose and Crown photo bombers. I found her shorts to be, well, a bit too short.

Nice trips report. I'm not normally a fan of food pics, but that looks like one hell of a pretzel!

Thanks so much!! We love to eat good while there so I normally have lots of food pics!! The pretzel is awesome!!

SATURDAY, AUGUST 14

We saw an OKW bus pulling in so we decided to hop on that & then head to DS.

Have I mentioned how much I love this resort??

We didn't have a dinner reservation for that evening but figured we could find one at DS. And that we did!! There was one for Paradiso 37. None of us had been there before so we were excited to try something new!!

Gotta admit, one of my best friends ate there a few years ago & said that it was very good so I was excited to try it!!

I really enjoyed the atmosphere there!!

I didn't take pics of the menu so I can't remember everything we ordered but here's some pics!!
We definitely got some kind of salsa/queso/guacamole appetizer!

Here's the condiments that were brought out to us

My beverage.

My dinner. I got the Authentic Nola Shrimp Po'Boy. It was very, very good!!

J had the chicken tenders & as you can see we crushed that appetizer!!

SATURDAY, AUGUST 14TH

We all were very happy with our meals at Paradiso 37.

But we decided to save our dessert for Sprinkles!!

Oh, did I mention it was raining again??
And now I will mention that I got ice cream again!! Two days in a row!! What was wrong with me??

I have absolutely no clue as to why I took this picture but doesn't it look like this woman is trying to feed J?

We walked back to Saratoga Springs & passed by the scene of where A got her knee stuck the month before. Of course, J remembered it & said we should take some pics & send them to A!!

As you can see, he wasn't very sympathetic!!

We got back to the room & J played with his droid for awhile!!

Alright!! I got one!!

We took our usual places on the bus!!

Guess we'll have to pass on Baseline for now!!

I don't know why I love this outside part so much but I do!!

Gotta say, I was pretty impressed with my photography skills on this one!!

After defeating the First Order we encountered them again!!

J wanted to go on Smuggler's Run so he & I went there next.

Awful pic but at least I caught him being the pilot, right @amjt660?

A trip to HS is not complete without a visit to Baseline!! At least in our family that's the way it is!!

We had our usuals when it came to the food.

No clue as to why I took this picture. Maybe b/c of the rain??

During our down time we were showing J videos of RNRC to try to get him to go on it. We had been close the month before but he backed out shortly before boarding. That actually ended up working out b/c the ride ended up shutting down. Had he witnessed that we definitely wouldn't have been able to get him on it!!

At one point I went to the restroom.

The rain was super heavy & I was absolutely drenched!! I texted E & told her I was seeking shelter under a tree!!

According to my phone though there was no rain, yet I was drenched!!

SUNDAY, AUGUST 15TH

We took a spin on A.S.S. next. J & JSR are on the right.

And then it was time for J's maiden voyage!!

Gosh, he was so darn nervous!!

I swear no one was forcing him. It was just the fear of the unknown!!

He got(& still does) a total kick out of this license plate!!

He said he wanted to ride with me. He had his arms so intertwined with mine that 3 different times we were approached about us separating ourselves before it took off. Obviously, when we took off he didn't listen!!

We took a Starbucks breather after the ride.

Then went back for round 2!!

He's big stuff now!!

Definitely not holding on as tight!!

SUNDAY, AUGUST 15TH

Our time at HS had come to a close. We had an important place to be!!

We hopped on an OKW bus--what is it with us & this resort??

And went over to DS for our dining reservation at T-Rex!! For a few years now J had wanted to eat there. As we all know there's just never enough time in any trip to do all that you want to. We made it a point that we were going to finally eat here for him. I was so focused on it that when I went to make our dining reservations I made sure that this was the first one I grabbed!!

The inside did remind me a lot of Rainforest Cafe. I guess that shouldn't be a surprise since they're owned by the same company!!

We were seated at a great table, IMO!! Lots to watch & see around us!!

I actually thought this restaurant was pretty cool!!

I got a burger for my meal.

Our waiter was THE BEST!! He was so much fun!! I don't know that I've ever met someone better than him!!

When he brought out the bill he gave it to J & told him it was on him!!

He handed him a pen & had him sign his name!! It was hysterical & so much fun!! I wish I would have got his name. He was the absolute best!!

When we got back J admired the pins that he got for conquering RNRC!!

While I had a glass of wine....

& looked over all the money I had spent!!

Glad you enjoyed your dinner, but as a New Orleans native, that po boy is not authentic.

Ugh--what a bummer!! I did enjoy it but please tell me what I was missing!!

MONDAY, AUGUST 16TH

The day before the dreaded day was upon us. On a side note, I'm happy not to have to see that anymore!!

These were starting to go up for the 50th.

Yay!! No scrims!!

Under the Sea we went.

This was up next!

I don't think I've been on this since this day. Are these walls still up?

I was too excited!! My name came up!!

We browsed The Emporium but I walked away empty handed.

MONDAY, AUGUST 16TH

Pooh & friends were out!

Main Street was pretty crowded.

I really enjoy the fall decorations!!

Everyone's favorite pumpkin!!

We had lunch reservations at Tony's.

I really don't care for the bread there. It is very boring & pretty much has no taste.

On the other hand the ravioli was excellent!!

E got yet another caesar salad!!

MONDAY, AUGUST 16TH

We bid MK farewell after lunch & took a boat over to the Poly.

I stood in line to get us on the waiting list for Trader Sam's!!

Yay!! We were excited to check this place out!!

We were seated in a corner which was nice b/c you could see all the antics going on!!

No wonder it's so hard to get in there. It's really small inside!!

This was one of the times where it would get dark & the volcano would erupt.

MONDAY, AUGUST 16TH

I think my drink was the Tahitian Torch. E got the Tiki x5 Rum.

We got an order of potstickers.

Those long straws in the drinks cracked me up.

We also got some kind of sushi. Not sure what, that's E's department.

For round 2 I went with the Zombie.

We spent about 45 minutes there. It was a neat experience but not something I would feel the need to do all the time. I'm glad we tried it though!!
