The teams are finally set and here are the matchups. Pick your winners and tell us who will win the World Series.

LA Angels
Boston

Chicago White Sox
Tampa Bay



Chicago Cubs
LA Dodgers

Philadelphia
Milwaukee



First time in 102 years that both Chicago teams are in the playoffs together.

Division Series (NL)

Dodgers defeat Cubs
Phillies defeat Brewers

ALCS:

Boston defeats Tampa (playoff experience wins out) :animwink:

Dodgers defeat Phililes

World Series:

Boston defeats Dodgers

(and Manny strikes out for the final out of the Series.....)

RAYS over White Sox

ANGELS over Rays

My heart pick is a Cubs-Rays series.

I'll elaborate on how the all-Chicago World Series happens:

WHITE SOX over Rays (additionally - AL RotY: Alexei Ramirez over Evan Longoria)
ANGELS over Red Sox

CUBS over Dodgers
BREWERS over Phillies

WHITE SOX over Angels
CUBS over Brewers

WHITE SOX over Cubs

Well, if you've missed all the first round stuff the last couple of years, I would think you would have picked the ChiSox to win, that way the Rays would be a lock. Oh, well...

My picks:
ALDS:
BOS over LAA
TAM over CWS

NLDS:
LAD over ChC
MIL over PHI

ALCS:
BOS over TAM(and only because lack of Playoff experience may hurt them, but I expect it to go 7 games if this is the matchup.)

NLCS:
LAD over MIL

WS:
BOS over LAD in 7 games(Because not even I think they would sweep an NL opponent three appearances in a row.)

Of course, these picks are also because I'm a Red Sox and Dodgers fan boy. I'd love to see that World Series, but I would be really happy to see either a Rays/Cubs or Rays/Brewers World Series as well. Especially the Brewers since they were my Dark Horse pick last year. I'd only have been a year off then, which is pretty good for me. :lol:

I'll give you a shot at everything on your list, EXCEPT for the ROY. Longoria wins that in a landslide.

You're probably right, as Longoria has been the favorite to win it all season. However, their hitting stats are not all that different, and they're both great defensively.

I agree with everything............except

Boston will not beat the Ray's

Ray's defeat Dodgers

The NL is pretty close to worthless against the AL this year........pretty much every year 7 out of last 10

More of what I hope happens than what I expect to happen. I really want a Rays/Cubs series so I've got a chance to see the Cubs play in a WS in person in Tampa. Cubs playoff games are really amazing. I went to every one on the games they played in Atlanta during the 2003 ALDS and it was great.
