There are actually three Hess on Disney property, the two already mentioned - the one right across Boardwalk (possibly take a bus to Boardwalk, walk like 5 minutes to Hess right across the entrance) and the one by Downtown Disney across where the Pleasure Island sign was (also bus-able). The...

They're both amazing hotels. They've both been renovated recently so you wouldn't have to worry about having an older room at one versus the other (aka they both have flat screen TV's if that matters). With Polynesian it's obvious you have the monorail access and views of Wishes from the dock...

Or...if you really wanted to get to Goodings on the cheap, you could ride the bus from Wilderness Lodge to Downtown Disney (since the ex-Pleasure Island side is extremely close to it) and just walk to Goodings. From Downtown Disney all you would have to do is walk through the Non-Disney-Hotels...

I also think that Fantasmic is overrated! All I can remember is a large time spent projecting movie clips on water - which gets boring real quick. It wasn't worth it for all the waiting and the whole kit and kaboodle to get to it.

We were at Typhoon Lagoon just this past Wednesday and half the park must have been all people from Argentina, and they were all females too. Oh, and talk about risque swim attire! They must have different standards for swimsuits... :zipit:

For Wishes - I'd say the dock at Poly or Grand Floridian (the audio/music is synced up through the speakers on the dock too). For Illuminations - the bridge that connects Boardwalk and Beach Club. It's just high enough to be able to see the fireworks, but you can't hear the audio in this case...

Well, non-thrill attractions at Blizzard Beach are: the lazy river, the ski lift (if you aren't scared of heights), the choppy wave pool, and some of the various slides. I'd still recommend Typhoon Lagoon, but you can still have a good time at Blizzard Beach too!

Definitely good air conditioning - I would have no worries! Just a little noisy since they are under the window units.

I'd say that BWI and BC are equally gorgeous! I just love the themes on them both. Something to note though - the rooms are probably going to change on BWI if you're staying there NEXT summer since they are doing refurbs right now. The lobby and everything else will probably stay the same...

If you love thrill rides - Blizzard Beach. I like Typhoon Lagoon a lot better though. Typhoon Lagoon has a more relaxed, paradise resort feel to it where as Blizzard Beach is more "action-packed". Blizzard Beach caters to more teenagers and young adults (from what I've seen) - BB has Summit...
