    quick laundry question

Thanks, everyone. Yes, I always bring detergent, also (mine's already packed up), since we drive. It will hurt me bad enough to have to pay to do laundry--no way I could pay $2 for one box of detergent (I'm cheap that way)!

    quick laundry question

I'm leaving in 3 days.. WooHoo! I just wondered how much it costs to wash and dry a load of laundry on-site. We are staying at ASMo. Thanks!

    Mug question, is Pop allowed?

If pressed to say something other than Coke, you might hear a Southerner say "soft drink". However, you will rarely, if ever, hear a NATIVE Southerner (this almost doesn't include Floridians, since so many are from elsewhere) soda OR pop.

    In room snacks/non perishable

It really depends on if you're flying or driving. We drive, and so most everything "travels" well. We take everything from canned drinks and bottled water to fresh fruit to any boxed/bagged snacks (granola bars, cereal, chips, cookies, etc.), and it all makes it there just fine (our trip is...

    single-digit dance/few questions

Ahhhhh...I leave for WDW in 9 days. I can't wait! I've planned myself to death, so it'll be great to see all that planning come to fruition in the form of an awesome vacation. I just have a few questions: 1). What do y'all do for the week or so before you leave? I've already gotten a good...

    2 ride questions--help a mom out!

Another question: how many people ride together on Mission: Space? How is the seating configured?

    2 ride questions--help a mom out!

Yes, but he who pukes on the teacups leaves a colossal mess for the next rider to deal with!:p

    2 ride questions--help a mom out!

The "ever regret a ride" thread got me thinking about these "issues" that I need to get resolved before my family leaves in 12:sohappy: days for WDW: 1). Has anyone ridden the "non-puke inducing" version of Mission: Space? What is it like? Would my 5-year-old (who is fearful of pretty...

    EMH confusion

Yeah, I tend to not look at the official site because, for some reason, my computer has a much harder time pulling it up (something about all the graphics:shrug: ). I'm way too impatient for that. Obviously, though, I would go with that info for now since it is "official". Also, CleveRocks...

    EMH confusion

O.K., I'm a planning nut. I feel like I have my Sept. 30-Oct. 4 trip planned down to the absolute minutiae. I've looked at every website, forum and planning guide I can. But today I got an interesting surprise... I pretty much used wdwinfo exclusively for planning EMH. I like that they...

Disney Insider: NEW Haunted Mansion Refurb Article!

This is a bit OT, but how scary is HM? I have a 5-year-old who is scared of EVERYTHING, but I've heard that HM isn't really supposed to be scary. I'm afraid to even try to take her on this ride if there's even a hint of spookiness to it.

What costume are you wearing to MNSSHP

We are going on Oct. 4. My younger daughter will be Minnie Mouse and my older daughter will be Hannah Montana (I'm lucky because I'm only spending about $10 to pull both of these off--we have a "Minnie" dress from a dance recital, we're borrowing Minnie ears, I found a HM-ish wig at W-M for $6...

Calling all parents of school-aged kiddos!

I haven't read the entire thread super-carefully, but I'm going to say a few things most people haven't said. I'm a teacher, by the way. 1). Schools MAY let you take the days and not have them count against your child, but they don't have to. I know in my state if you have any unexcused...

    soarin.....is it for scaredy cats..?

I'm going to go against the grain here and say I'd think twice. My two girls are very different: my five-year-old is scared of everything (all the characters who aren't "face" characters, any roller coaster, strangers, automatic flushing toilets, STILL:hammer: ...I could go on and on), but for...

    Because of Slappy

We live 8 hours away, and we always drive. We are 1-1.5 hours from the Atlanta airport, and with parking (and paying for) the car for the week, going through security, checking bags, etc., it would take almost as long to fly as to drive. Plus, my husband likes to sleep for a few hours the...

    thoughts on this itinerary?

I see that I didn't mention this, but we will do Hallowishes on Thursday. My kids saw Wishes and Illuminations last trip, but they're not "in awe" of these. If they want to see Illuminations, we'll do it, but I think it won't be high on their priority list. As to not spending enough time in...

    thoughts on this itinerary?

My family (husband, daughters 8 & 5, and I) are going to WDW Sept. 30-Oct. 4. We are staying at AS Movies. We plan on doing 3 days in the parks (hopper passes) and "hanging out" the other day and a half. This is my kids' 3rd trip (both other trips were only 3 days in the parks, as well)...

Will we be satisfied w/ POP for Thanksgiving?

You didn't mention if you had kid(s)...I haven't stayed anywhere except POP (I'm way too cheap to spend so much extra on a hotel room when we're mostly just going to the parks, anyway), but we went at the same time as friends whose kids are the same age as ours. They stayed at the Contemporary...

what to do at deluxe resorts?

Last time we were at WDW (Jan. '06), our family marveled at how much we "missed" by not simply taking time out to tour the property. We vowed to take at least a day or two on the next trip (Oct. '07) to do just that--no parks, just touring. We'll of course be doing DTD, and we'll be doing Chef...

    Free Dining Rumor

Hey, New2WDW, sorry for calling you a "girl"...I should've known it was a dad saying that about pulling the kids out of school, though:ROFLOL: (kidding of course). We haven't decided where we'll be staying. If there's no free dining, we were planning on going down Sunday, Sept. 30th, and...
