Wait, are you saying you've seen a rodent of unusual size?

Have Disneyland Ticket Prices Really Changed That Much Since Opening Day?

This is actually a good calculation. A couple of points to consider, however, about the early tickets (perhaps not opening day, but soon thereafter) which might change your numbers so it's more complete: 1) Not all tickets were lettered. Some guests, like California teachers, got special Magic...

New Disney Exhibit Coming to World War Two Museum in New Orleans

I haven't seen anything about this elsewhere. Just happened to see a sign in a hallway announcing the opening next month of a new museum exhibit looking at the role the Walt Disney Company played in World War Two. Just returned from the National World War Two Museum in New Orleans, Louisiana...

JW Marriott Bonnet Creek or Grande lakes?

Not exactly on point with your Marriott question, but "fancy" does not always mean "stuffy." For example, years ago we had a wonderful ten-day stay at the Hyatt Grand Cypress resort, which could easily have been considered "stuffy" for its price level and fancy events. But even there, Disney...

Trip Report the last time (taylor's version)

For the three of us who remember the interactive MK game: Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom, the Firehouse was the combination check-in, reward location, and training center for learning how to play and getting your first set of cards to play. (There was also a secret help/redemption location...

    Question about Copyright.

If you feel it is too similar to a well-known copyrighted work, it's probably similar enough to get you sued. That's what happened when Universal came up with Battlestar Galactica after Star Wars came out (scroll down to see that story). (I'm not your lawyer, and this is a general statement...

News 2023 EPCOT Festival of the Arts

One of these things is not like the others ... And I love meatloaf and the Festival of the Arts. But so often the "artistically elevated" foods are purple, and I'm not sure I'm up for purple meatloaf. Maybe in Pandora.

runDisney pares back complimentary full-day ticket to half-day for volunteers

For those who are interested, here is Track Shack Youth Foundation's annual information return (which is the required tax return for many tax-exempt organizations) IRS Form 990 for 2020 (admittedly an unusual year; other years are available on Guidestar, a well-known source of information on...

runDisney pares back complimentary full-day ticket to half-day for volunteers

I agree that changing the rules without notice is not only bad form for Track Shack, apparently the sponsor and administrator of the volunteer management program, but also for Disney, who probably contracted with Track Shack. Particularly if there's no notice of the change to the volunteers...

How do I use my expired but unused tickets?

I have a set of fully-paid, but wholly unused six-day park hopper tickets left over from November 2022. The website says: "After expiration date, the price paid for a wholly unused ticket can be applied to the purchase of a new ticket with an equal or higher price." How, exactly, do I apply...

Can I Come Back to the Parks?

As others have said, only you can (or should) make that decision. I will say that I was pretty much in your camp when you decided to boycott, and cancelled a fully-planned trip. I, like you, am still "torn." But now I'm planning a trip for next year. At first it was a "ding dong, the witch is...

News Chapek FIRED, Iger New CEO

Stock up 6.4% on Monday. Business Insider (paywall), which has a fairly good (though inconsistent) record, has a good summary of recent events: https://www.businessinsider.com/inside-return-disney-ceo-bob-iger-ouster-chapek-executive-complaints-2022-11. Highlights: events unfolded rapidly...

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

Judge Micelle sits in the Middle District of Florida (e.g., Orlando), so within the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, not one of the more influential courts to have ruled on pandemic topics, unlike, say, the Sixth Circuit headed by its increasingly-influential Chief Judge Jeff...

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

Jumping back in for the first time in months, so please forgive me if someone actually said something about this already (other than, "what does this mean?!"). There are two parts to Judge Kathryn Kimball Mizelle's decision today: 1) The CDC did not have sufficient authorization from Congress...

SPOILERS: Book of Boba Fett - Latest episodes

Filoni, for all his genius, does sometimes set up things that just aren't well-explained or integrated. For example, Clone Wars arc for the all-powerful, all-important Mortis, the One family home planet. Still waiting for that one (pun intended) to know how it all fits in. Perhaps in Ahsoka?

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

FTFY. Even then, some of the info here is better than most other sources, particularly the "boots-on-the-ground" stuff. And, of course, the WDW info. And an update: 3yo GS still doing fine in his vaccine trial, which should be coming to an end shortly. No side effects, no infections though...
