Do you think that Disney world will reclose its gates due to the rising number of COVID cases in Florida and around the country?

Opening certain parks on certain days or cutting daily operating hours even more sounds just like a massive logistical nightmare anyway you cut it. I don’t know if they’ll actually close back down, but their options are rather limited if it is a money saving issue outside of the situation in...

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

Not at all, it’s based entirely on manpower needed and the seniority/full time status of them it sounds like from what news has came out from the union regarding people being moved there. The idea is to get the parks running, doing something like that would needlessly slow down the process. Be...

Do you think that Disney world will reclose its gates due to the rising number of COVID cases in Florida and around the country?

If you could describe the mood currently about the reopening process, how would you? Are they excited for it if it works? More nervous about the potential issues that could crop up?

What is the inaccuracy rate on them? I remember reading something in passing about them not being as good as the test that take a bit longer to process.

It’s too bad, but not unsurprising either, they had to do what they believe is the safest option for themselves. I think like many here have said, this is likely the last week to press the ‘pause’ button on the theme parks. I’d be very curious to see how/if Universal or Seaworld take any...

Do you think that Disney world will reclose its gates due to the rising number of COVID cases in Florida and around the country?

My guess would be maybe by 2-3 weeks pushback on parks, rolling back some of Disney Springs, but to continue with the NBA as they likely see it is a bit of a different situation than the actual parks. Could be wrong though, also curious what they would do with the DVC properties already open...

Do you think that Disney world will reclose its gates due to the rising number of COVID cases in Florida and around the country?

So far it looks like the wheels are in motion and not stopping, large amount of cast has gone back to work for the parks and resorts, along the NBA being officially confirmed.

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

It’s all very concerning. It isn’t just raw numbers that are bad, it’s combined with a skyrocking positivity rate. The fact other states on putting quarantine measures on people from or who have visited Florida isn’t just a vindictive measure on the part of the North East. I’d like to think...

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

I would just make an educated guess a fair amount of wheels are in motion that might be difficult to slow down at this point. Then again they still have time I suppose, but maybe they see the easier solution as tighter restrictions rather than full reversal. I can only imagine a lot rides on...

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

I wouldn’t be surprised, tons of people pressed together and only some wearing masks. That combined with yelling is a sure way to spread droplets. It’s a shame the tough decisions that are needing to be made when in regards to people’s constitutional rights, but we can’t let this spiral out of...

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

It’s almost like this is a fluid situation with a brand new virus and has become a political minefield that health officials need to tiptoe around now.

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

I think what local officials in Orlando are concerned the most about is multigenerational housing where young people are coming and going around older/at risk family members. Hopefully they take this as a wake up call to stop packing themselves so much in bars and other areas. The mask mandate...

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

I’m hoping they can stick to this timeline because of how many jobs are tied to the industry, but I have a lot of doubts that they’ll actually be able to move forward that quickly, along with whether Disney & WB will actually release Mulan & Tenet this summer or even this year in theaters. I...

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

Would the data cause a full push back of reopening or just tighter restrictions in the reopening if it keeps trending poorly in FL?
