The virus must not have gotten that message yet?Oh good. Another model. Those have been extremely valuable.
Ouch....NJ has announced it will postpone indoor dining indefinitely.
N.J. restaurants NOT reopening for indoor dining this week after ‘knucklehead’ crowds at bars ruin it for everyone
Indoor dining was set to reopen on Thursday, ahead of the July 4th weekend, but Gov. Phil Murphy pulled the plug on Monday citing concerns it could cause a coronavirus surge.t.co
A lot of doctors don’t think the rapid test is accurate enough. We won’t use it in in our facility.I have not...but would love to do them and the antibody tests when, where and if they are available.
Even in a “hot spot” and now “recovered” state, they still are requiring doctors permission and somewhat rationing them unless you are symptomatic.
As an aside...that video OB77 just posted makes it look like not a big deal any longer...very simple/non-invasive nasal swab. No issues with that, really.
What is the inaccuracy rate on them? I remember reading something in passing about them not being as good as the test that take a bit longer to process.A lot of doctors don’t think the rapid test is accurate enough. We won’t use it in in our facility.
I think I read it was around 50%What is the inaccuracy rate in them? I remember reading something in passing about them not being as good as the test that take a bit longer to process.
That tells me more work needs done on testing then, does it not?A lot of doctors don’t think the rapid test is accurate enough. We won’t use it in in our facility.
Casinos can open but restaurants can’t. That’s weird...NJ has announced it will postpone indoor dining indefinitely.

I have heard from So many friends that the panhandle is a disaster. We live in Bham so most people vacation down there. Sounds like a crowded mess! Also, based on personal experience in the panhandle this past week, the beaches in and of themselves aren’t a problem. It’s all the businesses that exist because of the beaches where people pack like sardines. We kept to ourselves and did our eating in the cottage aside from some take out.
I’m shocked the casinos were held this long? We know that’s about money.Casinos can open but restaurants can’t. That’s weird...
Only about 50% sensitive, meaning your missing about half the cases. My hospital decided against buying the Abbot machine once we realized how useless it was.I think I read it was around 50%

The rapid tests depend on getting a good enough sample. The only way to almost guarantee a sufficient sample is bronchoscopy, which will never be possible on a large scale. That tells me more work needs done on testing then, does it not?
Not just for covid...but for whatever may come after covid down the road. We need to make a national investment in this vital Infrastructure. But that’s just my opinion.

No, half the negatives were false negatives. Low sensitivity, you're missing too many people that actually have the virus. If you are saying half the positives are false-positives with that test, then we absolutely should not be using it. That's ridiculously low.
Even the Trump Taj Mahal, the biggest boondoggle in AC's casino history, had a good buffet.does the casino have a nice buffet?
