What WDW Holiday Gifts Did You Receive?

I got new silverware with Mickey heads on it, Tinkerbell earrings, Tigger & Pooh Christmas blowups for outside for next Christmas season.

    Not-Worth-It Attractions

There are several I would personally pass up, but my husband has to do them once per trip: Carousel of Progress, Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor and Rock & Roll Roller Coaster. The one we both refuse to do is the Swiss Family Treehouse--too old to climb up all those darn stairs, and Stitch. And I...

    Resort Mugs?

I read on one of the other Disney boards that someone said they saw the mugs and that they had different designs--one had Lady and the Tramp, another had a princess, etc. The only resort to have their own mug is CSR because their restaurants are not owned by Disney.

Sports Event in July and resorts staying at

Yeah, we had that problem in 2000 when we were there. One of the many reasons we don't like the All-Star Sports. I only told my son to stay there so that he'd be with his team and parents and because the Coronado was not one of the resorts (we don't like the Caribbean). We may surprise him and...

Disney Year of a Million Dreams.....

We won for the first time during our September visit. We were exiting Splash Mountain and we all won "Year of a Million Dream" ears (there were four of us). We then headed to the Crystal Palace for our breakfast ressie and since we were two couples with four ears, each couple gave one set of...

Sports Event in July and resorts staying at

I know a lot of people don't like being at resorts when there are sports teams there for an event. As a heads up, Disney's Wide World of Sports is hosting a baseball tournament. The age groups start at 8 and under and go all the way up to 18 and under. It is July 3 - 9 and they will be staying...

Help me decide which moderate resort should our family take and why!

So glad you liked CSR. It is our favorite resort and we have no desire to stay anywhere else. Tried to get a room for the 4/3 deal as a surprise for son for his 21st birthday (he's been complaining that he hasn't been since 2000), but we couldn't get a room at CSR--all booked--for his spring...

Is it true that Liberty Tree Tavern will no longer have characters?

Yes, the characters will be gone as of January 4 or 5 (can't remember exact date).

    dinner suggestions!?!?!

Some of our favorites are: LeCellier, Biergarten and Rose & Crown at Epcot Crystal Palace (breakfast buffet) and Plaza Restaurant at Magic Kingdom Yak & Yeti at Animal Kingdom Mama Melrose and 50's Prime Time at the Studios As for resorts, we like Cape May Cafe for breakfast buffet (they also...

    Worst Dining Places

This must be the topic of the week--it's been on two other Disney boards that I am a member of. As I've said before, it usually comes down to a matter of personal taste, opinion and expectations. There are four restaurants that we have eaten at in which three were highly recommended and we...

    Fetticine Alfredo

They have it at the Pepper Market at the Coronado. I've had it several times. The only problem I've had with it is that the portion is huge and I end up only eating half of it (and I can't share with DH because he doesn't like fettucine).

Help me decide which moderate resort should our family take and why!

We only stay at CSR (Coronado), but POFQ is the only other moderate we would consider if we couldn't get in at the CSR. We don't care for the food court or the themeing at CBR, and we didn't care for the themeing of the POR at all and had the worse meal of any ever at Disney at Boatwright's for...

    CSR Newly Rehabbed Rooms

Depending on when you are going again, all of the rooms will be remodeled by October 2009. Cabana 9B was done first as they will, as of January 1, be Club Level rooms only. They have completed Casitas 1 on the 4th floor and are currently working on the 4th floor of Casitas 2 and 3 and Cabanas...

Looking for the least noisy on-site hotel

We have stayed at Coronado seven times (and can't wait for number eight with the new rehabbed rooms, queen beds, etc.) and have never had an issue with noise and we've been on every floor from the 1st to the 4th.

    CSR Newly Rehabbed Rooms

Personally, I like them. CSR is our favorite resort and I really hated the old comforters. Here is the best picture I have of the old bathroom:

    CSR Newly Rehabbed Rooms

Rob, all rooms are now two "queen" beds except for around 100 rooms that are being changed to king beds from the twin beds.

    CSR Newly Rehabbed Rooms

As of now, Cabanas 9B is done--but that is Club Level only. Casitas 1, 4th floor, is complete (Casitas 1 is right next to the main building--food, registration, shops, etc.); Casitas 2 and 3, 4th floor and Cabanas 9A are currently being worked on. All rehab is to be done by October 2009 (they...

    CSR Newly Rehabbed Rooms

I couldn't find my other thread on the rehabbed rooms at CSR so I started a new one (sorry). Here are a few more pictures of the new standard rooms at CSR (these are not the Club Rooms):

    Yak N Yeti

Here is the review I wrote when we came back in September. We ALL loved it and it is now on our must do list every trip (I'll try to put some pictures at the bottom of my review): Yak & Yeti. I was a little leary of this place because I had read mixed reviews. However, my DH really likes this...

Sneak Peek at the New Rooms at Club Level at Coronado

Not sure if the "standard" rooms will look like this when they are rehabbed. We do know they just finished the 4th floor of Casitas 1, but no one has taken or shown any pictures yet. They are getting new paint, furniture, bedding, flat screen tv's, etc.). Here is a portion of what I pulled up...
