Have you spotted anyone famous at WDW?

Saw Wil Wheaton, "Wesley" from Star Trek Next Gen a few years back at Disneyland, does that count? We were in line for Peter Pan and he had his hair colored purple (I think) and didn't look very happy over the way we kept glancing at him. We didn't try to talk to him or ask for pics or anything...

    Walkie talkies

I agree with the comments about all the other chatter you get from people outside your group. Aside from that, some members of our party would forget to turn on their WT's or keep them in backpacks which were inaccessible or whatever. It was a waste of time using them, especially since we had...

What is your favorite sidewalk show?

Number one, hands down, hats off, the Voices of Liberty . . . though technically I suppose they're not on the sidewalk. Still, in terms of live entertainment at Epcot they are my special favorite. The World Showcase Players wherever you can find them, they're hilarious, we laugh so much our...

Magic Kingdom - Quick/Counter Service Poll

El Pirata y El Perico, just really good Mexican for the price. Columbia Harbour house, great ambience with the delicious clam chowder and salad. Cosmic Ray's, salad hands down. Pinocchio's . . . because it's like a little piece of the movie. :) Actually, I've been really impressed with the all...

    Favorite Disney Keepsake

Our Wonderful World of Disney popcorn bowl and 3 matching mugs. We always use the bowl for watching movies. And our cowboy boot mugs from the Horseshoe Revue, bring back great memories of sitting in the "private" stageside alcoves.

    Disney's other Activities

Exploring the "rest" of WDW is so much fun! My brother won't leave the parks for anything but we love to lobby hop, go to the boardwalk, minigolf, rent the surrey bikes and check out resort restaurants. This trip we're looking at fishing, campfire singalong at Fort Wilderness, renting a...

    the MGM Hat

I second that. This is the one change I would (almost) pay to see - please, please move the hat. Yes to having it at the main gate, yes to having it almost anywhere else in the park but for me it's blocking a really great view of the theater. Perhaps the Epcot arm can wave the magic wand and...

    another fun question :)

Our best experience was at the Biergarten. Hannelaure (sp?), our server, took note of the fact that it was our parent's 40th anniversary and asked the band to play a special song for them during their set. The whole family went to dance for that. Very thoughtful of her. And major kudos to Patti...

The Earl of a Delicious Sandwich - help me jonnie

This is almost the best part, the price break for your wallet! We ate there twice, it was worth the wait in line for the food and the savings. Loved the salads and our group tried different sandwiches every time, no one had any complaints. Don't miss the Earl's Grey lemonade, very mild and...

    Towel animals

Did I read somewhere that if you leave a tip every day housekeeping may "thank you" with little surprises like the towel animals? Just curious since we're on-property this January.

What's your must have Disney dessert ?

Yuuuuuuuuummmmmmmm! Yes to Zebra Domes but also Paw Print Brownies, Cocomisu, Banana Bread Pudding and Pineapple Upside Down Cheesecake . . . my son just kept eating and eating and eating it! Dessert at Boma is deeeeeelicious. However, I also must have caramel candy apples from MGM, fruit tarts...

Lucky, lucky you! I have 10 weeks or so to wait. Have a really fantastic time. :)

8 days, what should I try at F&W?

Oh, the desserts! Don't miss baklava at the Greek pavilion, strawberry rice cream in Scandinavia, whiskey flan in Ireland, mango mousse in China and chocolate creme brulee in France. For drinks, I agree about the Banfi Rosa Regale in Italy, that stuff is fabulous. Also, the Lowenbrau and Stella...

    Dec. or Jan.?

Crowds versus a relaxing time in the parks? I'd take January. Even with shorter hours you will have a great visit, short lines and a nice pick-me-up after the holiday rush.

    Your Favorite Disney Restuarant

Boma at AKL! The buffet is fabulous, the wonderful variety of interesting foods a special treat. And Chef Mickey's breakfast buffet, can't get enough of the sausage roulade. :)

First time in a WDW Resort

Extra tips? Check out some of the on-property, out-of-park dining. We had the most fabulous buffet at AKL in the Boma restaurant. Also, we really love Spoodles at the Boardwalk, which is walking distance from Epcot. Allearsnet is the best information resource, the menus are a terrific help. Have...

    Larger than usual October Crowds

September 29 through October 12 were our trip dates. We were completely blindsided by the crowds, we expected it to be so nice and quiet. Spectromagic saw one lady actually yelling at the CM's because she had saved seats in a designated wheelchair viewing area - like it was their fault she had...

Need help: 2 year old & only 3 days!

Too much fun, too little time You should definitely do the Animal Kingdom, the safari and Pocahontas and Lion King stage shows - though Lion King is loud so be prepared if your little one doesn't like loud noises. Get a stroller - a must with all the trails - and stroll around looking for...

    Annual Passes

Annual passes are the way to go! We bought them this time. You can't order them on the Disney site from Canada so we bought 7 day hopper passes - at a discount - and then they applied the full price of a 7 day hopper towards our annuals. It cost about $60/ea extra and we went almost every day at...
