We did Marathon weekend last year and, as many said, didn't notice any huge crowds. We did notice that most marathoners went back to the hotels and those that did come out at night went to MK for Wishes. The monorails were PACKED in the evening though.

If you're that worried you can go around opening in the morning. They usually have the castle open for walkthroughs, or as disney puts it "self guided tours". You can ask at the check in kiosk when they're open, when we were there the walk through time was everyday prior to 10am.

According to the app they aren't too awful and on par with lower crowds... 25 for JC, 55 Space, 60 little mermaid and Belle and 45 for Pan. I'm amazed, but then again it IS a Monday and some kids have school.
