  • Hmm...rides I'd get rid of? I'd probably have to go up their with the Speedway. A more interesting track would be nice, and maybe switching over from gasoline to electric would be nice. Other than that, it's a huge chunk of space that I think, for now, is wasted. Besides that, I'm not a huge Mission: Space fan...and I wouldn't mind bitting farewell to most of that Dinoland at Animal Kingdom.
We live within a few miles of the actual beach, but with the roads and highways, it's around twenty to thirty minutes to get to the actual beach.

I can't think of any suggestions off the top of my head...I'm in a bit of a rush right now but on the weekend I'll have suggestions for you.

I wish they had an option to hold multiple Fastpasses at once. That would make life much easier. (But I'm being hypocritical...I loathe standing in a stand-by line watching Fastpassers walk by in their prideful strolls...it makes me sick!)
Well all that coming from you made it make perfect sense. You are totally right! Now I am glad I told you. I was worried a bit at first thinking you had a flake on the other end of email (lol) He was important in my early years so that is true. Linds met him but she was extremely young...3 or 4 so doesn't really remember him. He did make peace with himself at the end - just no one else. His kids...that was what was important - in the end my sister found his kids and they spent the last 2 weeks together....it was short time but it was important time for them. So I feel he is at the most peace he can be at this time - now i'm blabbering LOL It's funny because when I found out I blew out all these emotions...then they were gone. Now just thoughts...weird huh?

On another note - just 36 days for my doubly happy place at this point!!
This won't be long tonight. I think I told you I haven't talked to my parents in 4 years (the long story) - well I have a brother that my sister finally wrote me tonight & told me passed away Oct 5th. Now by no means were we close either - he was a mess & had many things going on & the folks wrote him "off" years ago....I actually gave him every chance possible but 8 yrs ago that was it...anyways she wrote tonight to tell me he had cancer & died Oct 5 at 49 years old (he's close to 4 years younger then me - he & I were both adopted) - so I'm sad & not sure why. Maybe because I know he suffered & alot of what went on with him wasn't really his fault - it was the alcohols. But at the same time I have a sad heart & hope with his passing, he can now find peace. So that is my downer for the night. I'm ok - just a bit sad because he was after all my brother. Some things time does not change. Sorry about this! Guess I'm laying a load on you LOL I just needed to share.
EXACTLY! We have done our time! LOL That is like here at my work having to chase around a bunch of grown men for time sheets or paperwork - drives me crazy! It's like I'm a Mom here too! LOL

Thanks for the well wishes! I am feeling better. Not sure what is going on but I'll take better any day. I'm sure something is "up" but something minor. That is a good thing!

37 & counting! Menus printed, touring plans in about a week so they are updated & I'd LOVE to see your packing list! any chance you can email me it to use? I always seem to forget at least one thing. I bet yours is great! I'm at lisaalphen@gmail.com - that would be great if you can share.

Packing starts in 2 wks-clothes, toiletries, pool stuff, lanyards, pins, goody bags, dsi, gameboy,dvd,....disney shirts-omg LOL

My sister got back last Sunday & I sent her a welcome back where is my trip report & she hasn't written me back yet! She must of had email bombardment !
The snow is something I'd miss if we ever moved south. Unfortunately (or fortunately) our little corner of NJ never gets any severe weather. Our family watches the Weather Channel like there's a plot in it, and we could be under a tornado warning or have a nor'easter barrel up the coast and only get a half hour of rain...very unexciting.

I'll definitely check out that Christmas CD. Have you heard Frank Sinatra's Christmas album? That's great as well.

Very glad to hear your job has been well. I hope it keeps up! :D

Don't worry...we're line queue snobs too...45 mins is deathly long for us! 99% of the time, we'll balk at anything more than a 40 minute wait, isn't that sad? But I agree...Soarin' gets me everytime. I wish it was even longer!
Yeah I'm doing the short timers dance over here LOL 38 and counting baby! ha ha ha! Trying to think of where and how much I can spend while there - I take a boat load and don't spend it all but I could if I wanted too LOL (plus the $200 gift card is a HUGE bonus!) so yes I'm psyched and getting majorly overloaded and dorky at this point LMAO!

WOW that is alot of days in a row working. Why would you prefer a different department? I'm guessing at times the crying and screaming from the kids gets to you (lol) if that's what is going on...the closer it gets to Christmas - yikes!!!

I apologize but I wont' know much of anything until after the colonoscopy of the 25th - I actually feel a bit better today but I know I'm still bloaty but I feel better today than I have in a month. Maybe what was ailing me was just passing through ??? LOL HA HA HA!
YEAH! So happy you started working! I am excited for you too! lol Bet you are glad. Do you guys get a per hour rate AND commissions? THAT would be wonderful because you know...the busier YOU get, the more YOU make! LOL

Funny thing about my abdomen/stomach stuff.....doesn't really hurt as in hurt....just uncomfortable and not all the time....only a bit every few days or so....just feel and look bloated so it's weird! LOL Hopefully it's something stupid that can be fixed during my colonoscopy on the 25th and POOF back to normal (whatever that is LMAO!)

GUESS WHAT???!!! PAID OFF MY TRIP THIS A.M. - 42 DAYS AND COUNTING - WOOHOOOO! LOL
No problem! Are you enjoying your new job?

I'll have to look up that song...I'm a sucker for a good Christmas song. The "Christmas for the '90's" CD is very good too, if you happen to find it.

Regarding fall, I think I just appreciated the contrast between the seasons. One of the reasons I'd think twice about moving to Florida or California is that it's generally the same year-round (not really, but you know what I mean.) It's low 50's or 90's, no snow, etc. With fall, it's your gateway into winter (and I am grateful for the occasional snow) and it's something different for a change. It'd be boring for me if I lived in Hawaii and it was 86 and sunny all of the time.

The lack of crowds really makes things magical for us, however terrible that sounds. It's not good for the parks to be completely empty, but I don't mind not waiting in line for an hour for Soarin'. :)
I was always under the impression the crowds were that bad (i.e. crowds sleeping on the lawns by Universe of Energy) but given how nice everything looks during the holidays, it would be debate-able if it would be a trade-off or not. But the one thing I can't stand about WDW is the crowds.

I like to keep the Christmas spirit as long as I can (since it's the best time of the year for me) but Christmas always still seems that special. My favorite song has to be..."Sleigh Ride", perhaps? What about yourself?
Big Pie is very addictive LOL Unfortunately right now I'm having some abdominal problems so I'm on a totally NON gas producing diet LOL I feel like I'm 6 months preggers and some days it bothers me - some not. On a positive note I AM losing weight because let's face it with no dairy, no dairy products, no whole grains and only being able to eat meat, fish fowl veggies and 3 types of fruit...I'm bound to lose LOL I go in for the fun colonoscopy end of the month so we'll see...Hopefully it's something extremely treatable like IBS (aren't you glad I'm sharing" LMAO!) If not IBS whatever needs to be done is going to have to wait till after my trip cause I'm going! !!!! LOL

Tangerine Cafe IS in Morocco - figured I'd try it. I want to try everything once so I need to go for years on end ha ha! Others we haven't done before are Cosmic Rays, Cali Grill, Flame Tree BBQ, Yak and Yeti, Studios Catering Co, Biergarten, CRT....and Liberty Inn - doing them all this go around!
No I have never attended F&W. My sis goes every year but then again she goes to WDW 5-6x a year - must be nice! I don't drink either...like you maybe once in awhile girlie drink at dinner out but don't go out much! LOL I used to drink & party quite a bit...then I got pregnant at 40 (happy birthday me LOL) & that ended that. Priorities kick into gear & I decided to grow up lmao!

Not eating at Via Napoli this go around UNLESS we sneak a slice in between something else...I looked at some of what they offer & those pizzas are so high maintenance! I'm a good ole Big Pie in the SKy kinda cheese girl LOL (you ever eaten there? over by publix at the corner of baker & jiles? if not, you MUST-awesome! just call about an hour before you plan on eating & if on weekend, 2 hours ahead - they are packed 24-7) - my 2 days at epcot are already food full...the 21st Liberty Inn & Coral Reef - the 25th for Tksgvg Tangerine Cafe & Biergarten....although I'm iffy on Tang Cafe LOL
Brr up since 5 & brisky out - 47 but I LOVE it! Actually going to stay perfect all week - high 70's.

I totally understand about the surprise element & don't blame you one bit! After seeing all the photos of the shop on allears.net, you probably need the drool factor for the next year that way with anticipation building...when you finally get to enter the store...BOOM!!! You sigh a sigh of relief & BUY BUY LOL!!! I'll pass out just from the fresh smell of caramel cooking!

I don't think I've ever seen a tshirt that looks like Buzz Lightyear! ha ha! How cute is that! I just love the Disney Store and Disney Store online. Two of my guilty pleasures - those and of course ebay. I think you mentioned your folks are going with you next year - you SHOULD get it for Dad! What a riot! And I expect pictures LOL

My sister is down at Disney right now for the f&w festival & I think it's the 1/2 marathon? She left last Wed (29th?) & gets back next Mon or Tues - she's such a brat! LOL
I'm confident you'll be great with the holidays this year! You guys are lucky with the nice temperatures! 80 sounds great right about now. When I was younger I used to hate fall (because it brought death...how morbid is that? LOL) but now I appreciate fall and the cooler temperatures, the changing colors, all of that. From death comes a new beginning!

To be honest, I'm the kind of person that plays Christmas music any time of the year and would keep Christmas decorations up all the time if it wasn't socially unacceptable to do so. It's my favorite time of the year! :D However, I would never be caught dead at WDW during the holidays. It's just too dang crowded! Maybe if schedules worked out, I'd go between Thanksgiving and Christmas (when decorations are up but the crowds are gone) but I hear horror stories of crowds during these times...I'd love the decor but wouldn't be able to stand for two hours waiting for the PeopleMover.
Excellent. :D Those books about the princesses and queens of England have seem to rebounded lately. I don't remember them ever being this popular!

What's the temperature like in Georgia? It's cooled down considerably here...it was around 50 degrees when we awoke and it's around 54 now (mid-day). Granted it's been rainy for the past week or so, but I'd rather it be rainy and cold than just cold. (And it's not like WDW where after it rains it gets even warmer!)
If you'd like I can grab you some of those caramel rice crispy treats! That way you can taste test also unless you just want to wait until your trip - I don't mind really. If you want me to, let me know! :-)

Lindsay and I just got back from Blockbuster - you used to be able to rent Wipeout for Wii there...nope not anymore! NOW if you want access to it..you have to be part of their online program and play it online! I was like what the heck! LOL FORGET IT! I'll buy it like I planned to any ways and stick it in her Disney Goodie Bag.

Beautiful day out today. About 65 and breezy - LOVE the Fall and Love the winter! Actually I love all cooler temps LOL HATE summer here but it's part of living in good ole Georgia!
Oh gosh, rubbing my face after petting cats is the one mistake I keep on making. Thankfully I've been getting better, but I get miserable.

I guess I've never paid a lot of attention to Oprah since I'm of the male species, but she does sound very inspiring. Along with Bill Gates she seems like one of those folks who gives most of their fortunes away, which is certainly nice. Apparently her, Bill Gates, and Michael Bloomberg and some other billionaire are part of this secret, ultra-exclusive society. Neat, huh?

I think my biggest inspiration has to be Jesus. I mean, he had his own religion! :D In all seriousness, I just want to live my life like his, so it'd be great to meet the Man.
Are you looking to get one of those hypo-allergenic cats? I heard they're good since they don't have "real" fur, thus not causing the allergies most people commonly associate with them.

It's incredible...I knew next to nothing about most of the people you listed but they all tell a story and mean something to someone, even though they could be dead for hundreds of years. If you could pick any one of them, which would you say was the biggest inspiration of your life?
Hiya! Yep so far I've gotten everything from ebay - sad huh? LOL The snacks & AA & AAA batteries I'll get at Dollar Tree over on Jiles. Her gift cards I'll just order off the Disney Store.com - other than that all I need to find is the Dsi game Wipeout (you ever watched that show? it's freaking hysterical! LOL) I know I can get it on ebay for dirt cheap (meaning under $20 or right around there since it's relatively new) - I pretty much do all "buy it nows" & try to get the free shipping also but it doesn't always work out that way.

I can't even think of Christmas shopping yet...I still have to make a last whopper payment on disney 10/8 & THEN I can start thinking of Christmas. I actually buy a few of my gifts @ WDW & sneak stuff for Linds but it's hard since she's with me! I'm excited about the new Caramel shop in Germany. Saw an allears article on it with photos - can we say yummy? I'll start XMas shopping in about 30 days. I cant' believe XMas is this close already!
I grouped David and Jerry Zucker together, but they are the brothers that made the movies like Airplane! and Naked Gun, some of my favorites. I'd love to talk to them and get to know their minds. And finally, Joe Pesci. His personality would seem great to have at a dinner!
