  • Happy New Year! Sorry I haven't been on at all lately, after Christmas we went away to AL for New Years to see my mom and aunt. We had a great time, a bonfire and fireworks. We did them on the 30th though since my cousin and her family were going to be away the actual nite.

Our Christmas was great! It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be to wait till Lee got home from work, so it turned out really nice. I got a Kindle and an old fashioned key pendant. I was really surprised to get the pendant since I had already opened the Kindle and thought that was my "big" present. It's so pretty, black and white diamonds. I love it. I also love the Kindle although I haven't had too much time to "play" with it.

    Back to work today. Ugh.
Wow, that's awesome that you have Thur. & Fri. off! Maybe you'll get a chance to unwind and truly enjoy your Christmas.

Is Lindsay excited about Christmas? Do you try to keep her presents a surprise?

I can't believe a printing company makes their employees work on Christmas Eve! Definitely a Scrooge there. Maybe he'll (or she'll) be visited by 3 ghosts to teach him an important lesson!!
I don't think there is a better way to start any day than bacon and buns!

I'm off tomorrow - YAY! I'm going to get some wrapping done tonite and I have a couple of errands to run tomorrow but the rest of the time will have to be spent wrapping. I work a long day on Friday and I think I'd like to just come home and RELAX (as Frankie used to say, lol).

When is your last day? Are you done shopping?
Long day today. Only one more long day and two short and I'm done till after the New Year. We'll be going away to visit my aunt and mom. I'm tirred again. I have a batch of cookies to make tonite and then I can put all my free time to wrap all our stuff.

We won't be opening gifts till my husband comes home after 5 pm. We'll just relax and let the anticipation build. I hope they still have the cinnamon buns at Costco that we love so we can have them for breakfast Christmas morning. I like something easy but rich and yummy and those fit the bill perfectly. I might make some bacon, too, for something savory. I can hardly wait! My husband better be surprised at his gifts, lmao!
Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you! It's been crazy trying to get stuff done while I'm off. Then there are the wonderful surprised like finding out Tue. nite that Sean needed money and trinkets for his class party this afternoon. Thanks Sean!

Well, I re-pre-ordered the Passporter but this time diectly from the Passporter website. They have it updated that the books won't be ready by Christmas. At least I know! Maybe my Sept. birthday present will get here before 2011? That would be nice....

I had to cross off getting gift cards to Disney for me and my husband for Christmas. Just too much money going out. Maybe I'll do it for Mother's & Father's Day. I'm pretty much done shopping except for a few gift cards. I haven't wrapped a thing except the stuff I had to mail which I got out today to NJ. Hopefully it gets there in time.
Amazon was who I had the original order with. I'm going to call Barnes & Noble though and see if they have it. If not, it was on order for Borders. Can you believe this luck?

Good luck with your shopping. I hope you find some good deals on the stuff you want. The most difficult thing is the crowds. Now, I have to wrap and ship the few things going to NJ. Want to get that stuff out this week.

I had to work at 6:45 this morning and thank goodness we were open since I didn't ring my 1st customer until we were there for over 2 hours!!
Well, with the exceptions of gift cards, I got most of my Christmas shopping done today. I have to say it was a terrible day, things just didn't go my way in the beginning. To the point I was almost crying. But it got better and I think I even got better deals online for stuff I had to end up ordering. Now I hope to be able to pick up most of the gift cards at Publix since they have a lot.

I'm tired and have to be at work tomorrow by 6:45 am! Ugh. I'm off Sunday, thankfully. I'll need it. Partly to rest and get my laundry done. More ugh.

Oh and for the final bad news, I went to 3 stores looking for the Passporter - no one has it! I'll just have to keep trying. I'll call the 1 bookstore I didn't hit today before I go, though.
I love coasters but an entire park of them? I don't know about that. If they make it too expensive some enthusiasts will go but beyond that I can't see how they'll survive. They'd have to make the theming "Disney spectacular" in order to make it, I think.

My hours are increasing but it's not great for me since I still have so much to do - shop, wrap, ship. I'm tired just thinking about it! LOL....
You know they say elderly people live longer who own pets. I wish my mom would get a small dog, I think it would help her immensely.

Minka sleeps a lot overnight but manages to wake up to play about an hour before my alarm goes off! Then she's poking her face in mine, playing w/ my hair and trying to lick and chew on my fingers!! Wait, was I right about the elderly living longer??? LMAO!!
Snow would be awesome, especially for Christmas!! We can always hope, right? LOL....:xmas:

I just got an email saying that the Passporter was delayed until Feb.! No way, I cancelled the order and will go buy it. Some birthday present that turned out to be. I'll go out tonight to get it!

Good thing you're all rested. How long did it take? One time after a weekend trip to NJ for a reunion where I stayed up past 3 am the whole trip it literally took a WEEK for me to get over that! LMAO.....:ROFLOL:

So far, so good with Minka. Our house is too small for more than one pet. But we are all loving having her here! :)
My husband loves sausage and bratwurst. I won't even get started on his love of beer, lmao! We'll have to try that on a future trip though since we already have at least 4 restaurants we're supposed to eat in at Epcot next year. Something to look forward to.....:)

Are you properly rested from your vacation now? Were the parks crowded? I read online that attendence was "flat"? I thought about you and wondered how things were for you and Lindsay.

We adopted a kitten on Monday from the ATL Humane Society. She's about 4 mos. old, solid black and we named her Minka. She's having fun exploring her new home and it's fun to watch her antics. So, we have a new family member now. Looks like I'll need to get another stocking!:xmas:

I think the Passporter that I pre-ordered back in Sept. should be out and shipping to me in a couple of weeks! Yay!!:sohappy:
I'm glad you got home safe and sound. It's so much more exhausting when it's hot, isn't it? I'm so happy you had a blast, albeit exhausting. That's Disney for you! If you don't come home feeling like that you're simply not doing it properly! LOL...:snore:

How was your Thanksgiving dinner at Biergarten? We had a very nice Thanksgiving. We ate after my hubby got home and it was all yummy. I realized it was the first time we've eaten Thanksgiving just the 4 of us together! :slurp:

I had to work at 3:45 am on Fri. morning. I promptly went to bed at 9:30 and never fell asleep! I was dragging by 2 pm when I got off. I took a nap around 5 then woke up after 8 and went to Walmart to pick up something I ordered online.
I know you're getting ready for your Thanksgiving at Biergarten but I wanted to take the time to wish you a wonderful and hopefully delicious Thanksgving! I hope you are having so much fun you've forgotten about all else!!
Sounds like the company you work for is a pretty good one. I think they cater a meal for the all the mechanics at ASA where my husband works, plus every year we get a coupon for a free turkey or ham. I get to go to work at 3:45 am on Fri. morning for Black Friday. That's my Thanksgiving bonus! LMAO.....:ROFLOL:

OMG - you leave tomorrow!! SOOOO EXCITING!! I can't believe it's finally here for you! YAAAAYYYY!!!:sohappy:

I'll certainly be thinking about you each day and looking to see where you are and hoping you and Lindsay are having the time of your lives!! Be careful driving and I can't wait to hear from you when you are both home safe and sound.

I want to wish you the very best Thanksgiving and wonderful, wonderful vacation!!
    THREE DAYS!!

That's all I'm gonna say. I think you must be beyond excited by now! Your trip is just within your reach. I can't believe that Thanksgiving 2010 is a little over a week away. Man, has this year flown by, huh?
I think that if Cobb Co. doesn't renew the current school calender then our next trip to WDW will definitely be during Christmas. I haven't broken the news to Lee that if the kids are out for Christmas break I want to shoot for a 10 day stay! I'll keep that tidbit to myself until neccessary!! LOL....:zipit:

I told Lee that after he pays the bills to let me know if we have ANY leeway for shopping. Even if it's only $30-40 dollars I can get something. I've let go of some of the anxiety cause really there's no point, I'll just have to bust my butt when I can. LMAO, talk about the Christmas spirit!
I watched a few videos on YouTube and it looks amazing!! How many times have you seen it? It totally makes me want to take a trip over Christmas! Do they change it each time? Can you imagine even putting up a quarter of what they do? Spectacular is all I can say.

Speaking of Christmas, now my anxiety is starting to kick in. I can't start shopping until my husband gets paid. Problem? He just got paid yesterday and it wasn't much. .......sigh.......

So I've decided to go with Publix and order their pre-made Thanksgiving dinner (and maybe the small decadent dessert platter!). That way we'll have leftovers. I'll make a few other things too but I won't be overwhelmed.
What are the Osborne Lights like? (I have to admit - for the longes time I thought they meant Ozzy Osbornes family and it confused me so! They do some kind of light show?)

You're schedule looks awesome! As I've told you before I can't wait to hear about your Thanksgiving at Biergarten. I looked at the menu and they have so much food! :king:
Doesn't your boss know the trick that the more days you stay the cheaper the tickets get? LOL....

I had a couple of friends from HS that were down in Disney last year while we were there. One of them we made a plan to meet and see each other the other one we ran into when they were leaving the restaurant and we were coming back to the hotel! It was great to see both of them especially since I hadn't seen either of them in over 20 yrs! Disney is awesome!

Ahhh! Now less than nine days!! I'm giving you three snaps in a "Z" formation!
