My Passporter showed up in the mail yesterday!! I was beyond excited, my hubby and kids think I'm a complete and total dork. But, I finally fine tuned our schedule and I think it's done. I had to cut our dinners at Boma and 'Ohana which I hated to do but they just were not going to fit in anywhere. One day I didn't have to mess with at all was Sun. when we'll eat together at Chef Mickey's!

Where is it written that we have to "like" our family anyway? I visit my mom more out of obligation than anything. And the kids like to see her, too. But me, I keep hoping she'll move away so I don't have to be obligated to see her anymore. Here's the thing, I don't care if that's terrible, that's how bad it is. Oh well, no reason to dwell on the bad, life's too short.

I think the kids would tell you - be glad she sung to you in a message rather than in person! LMAO.....

We had a good time till the end when my mom started in. I have a confession, it's sad but I don't enjoy spending time with my mom at all. I end up just waitng for something to happen and then waiting for it to be over. And there's no point in talking to her because she listens to nothing. She's lived alone for so long that she's completely sef-centered and narccissitic. So, it was okay but the most fun was when I was with my aunt.

I got an email that my Passporter finally shipped!!! (on the 21st) It should be here today or tomorrow, I think!! I'm so excited...and I just can't hide it....I'm about to lose control and I think I like it.......

I haven't finished working on our schedule because I'm having trouble since my dad and his girlfriend are joining us for a few days and since they aren't doing the water park & more options we're going to have to do some things before and after they're there. I was wondering IF anything would happen at all while I was gone about the school calender. Lee said he heard rumblings about a recall, but somehow I don't know if that can/could happen. I don't want to give up though. :fork:

So I've heard back from the pricipal of PMMS and Lynda Eagle the school board member who represents the kids' schools. Both said there wasn't anything more that could be done at this point. The SB member said even if they did manage to get another vote the same four would vote the same. Pretty depressing in my view. But I will refuse any rebuke I get from the county when my kids have a lot of days absent.

On a lighter note, I'm hoping that Passporter will be coming soon. We are visiting my mom in AL for her birthday, we leave tomorrow and while we're gone I hope my book finally shows up. That would be nice.

I'm reworking our schedule since the EMH came out. Nothing will change the first two days though so we'll still eat at Chef Mickey's on Sun. night.

I was appalled and dumbfounded when I saw the vote and then the survey results!! So, I emailed the board member who represents the kids' schools (who said she agreed w/ me) and then decided that wasnt' enough and sent a fairly nasty email to the rest of the school board members saying that they aren't serving the people they are serving themselves! Next on my list - my school principals. I am asking them (and also asked our school board member) what do we do now? I might even contact 11 Alive News (the channel I watch, lol). I'll let you know if I get any replies. Off to the principals office......

Wait - you have to move to Celebration, FL! I told Lee we should move there, he didn't go for it. LOL...

I know, Disney is even a "mind vacation". When I think about past trips, future trips almost anything Disney I just go to another place where I don't have stress or worry about anything. Add that to the many, many reasons I love WDW so much.

I know the vote is tonite. Tristan voted, I told Lee to vote on as many computers at work today before 1 pm. If the calender changes then when the kids start school in MID-Aug. then I will send the principals a note telling them I do not believe my kids should have unexcused absences since we made the reservations when they had the week off. Guess we'll find out tonite?

Your schedule sounds awesome! I just get excited thinking about our trip. There was a lady in Macy's over the weekend and they were going next week and I was even excited for them! I am a complete Disney dork!! I love it....

Yeah, you can see the new tees at the Disney store online. There's still one more I want to get - it's white with Mickey and Minnie sitting on a bench in front of the Eiffel Tower and it says Love Paris. Soooo cute! But since the deal is 2 for $24 I have to either find another tee for me.decide who gets another shirt or wait until we can all get new tees! (Sean now can wear a men's small even though it's kinda big on him)LOL, oh the problems, huh?

So, I sent an email to the school board member who represents the schools that Tristan and Sean go to. I actually got a reply too! I said I didn't know how this got brought up again, that it was a waste of time and money, especially in this economy, and that even though it was a moot point that I just felt the need to write a school board member. And that I voted to continue the current calender. She replied back that she completely agreed and that new board members were the ones to bring the issue back up again. Now we just have to wait and see, I guess.

Have you seen some of the new Disney tees? I got a cool one for Valentine's Day (bought it myself!). It's all black and in white letters that say "I love you" and "I love Mickey Mouse" it forms the silhouette of MIckey! It's so cool, I love it! Sean got one that just has Perry's face on it, it's funny.

Have you eaten at Chef Mickey's for dinner before? We've only eaten breakfast there. We love the breakfast too but we've done it two times in a row and I wanted to try new stuff. I hope we like it!

Oh, I'm working tonite 6-10 and tomorrow 12-7, just in case!

Well, I'm just so MAD over the whole school calender situation. I can't believe they're revisiting the issue now. Lee and I decided that if the calender gets changed we are still going in Sept. I told him I should contact the school board to see if we can get a "pass" since we made the reservations a full year before we were going and when the kids would have that week off! I voted for the current calender and Lee is, too, from work. It's a mystery to me how this subject even got brought back up. All my kids teachers they've had over the last couple of years like it and I haven't heard a parent who was against it. I don't know, I just hope it doesn't change.

I have to tell you I looked at your new profile picture and you look nothing like the picture I had in my head!! Almost exactly opposite! Now, I have no idea why this came into my head by I thought of you with short, wavy dark brown hair!! Why I thought that, I have no idea. What a pretty picture of you and (I'm guessing) Lindsay. What a beautiful lady you are, I can't believe you don't have a boyfriend. Not that I'm one of those people who believes you HAVE to have a man for your life to be complete. Absolutely not. Sometimes I wonder how men and women stay together at all, we're soooo different!

Anyway.....How about you join us for dinner at Chef Mickey's? And when I make our reservations I'll make it for 5 instead of 4. Let me know if that works for you.

Well, it's a good thing you didn't come to the mall on Sat. I worked but felt terrible, I couldn't wait to leave. Of course, that made it the longest 4 hours ever! I came home and laid down for 2 hours. I felt crappy yesterday, too. Ugh. I hate it when I don't feel good. I feel okay today, not great. Thankfully I don't have to work.

I take Tristan to the freshman orientation at Kennesaw Mountain tonite. I can't believe it. I know they pick their 9th grade classes sometime this month. Things are very different than when I went to school.

I forgot to tell you, if I were you I would just check Amazon and make sure you're getting your book on time. Maybe the date I got was because I was ordering recently.

It's so funny you said about not wanting to impede on privacy - I worked last weekend and was going to tell you if you found yourself at the mall and if you wanted to and had the time to stop by Macy's kids and we could finally meet but then I didn't say anything because it was your birthday and I didn't want to impede on you! I thought that I could just let you know when I'm working on the weekend in case you ever have to go to the mall. (Just in case - I work tomorrow 12-4.)

I hope this cold rain is over and done, I'm over and done with it myself. I feel like I've spent the last couple of days just cold, cold, cold.

It would be awesome to meet up in Disney too! I do have a tentative schedule but it's not concrete yet. Do you still want it?

Lee loves Red Lobster. I get the same thing everytime but I like it so it's not bad. (Chicken dish)

Well the book drama is finally over. I finally got 2 emails from Passporter apologizing for their lack of communication to me and over the shipping date for the books. Seems as though they didn't want to give out incorrect info on the shipping dates. Oh well, I already made my order through Barnes & Noble. I had to order The Hidden Magic of WDW as well to get the free shipping, but that's okay I was going to buy that book anyway. Huge sigh of relief finally.......sigh.......

We went to Big Pie last night for dinner after Tristan's dr. appt. for continuing his meds. YUM!! Especially after having Domino's Pizza recently. So nice to have "real" pizza again! So we were out in the lovely weather. Not as fun as the pizza.

I then looked at 3 other bookstores online and found one that said I could get it late Feb. and when I tried to go back to that site the Internet Server Problem page came up. Omg. :fork:THEN I called Borders in Kennesaw and the lady (very nice and helpful) said it says On Order. I give up. :dazzle: I'll try later today, I guess to get on the website that said I could get my book by late Feb. I'm sad. (lol....)

Those cakes sound amazing and what a wonderful gift they made, I bet the teachers loved them! :slurp:

Have you gotten an email about your Passporter? I cancelled my pre-order with Passporter themselves because I sent them an email asking about a release date and got no reply. Today I tried to call and got an automated response that said they couldn't take the call today and either call another day or leave your name/number and someone would call back. :brick: Yeah, right. So then I tried to pre-order (still) through Amazon and it said I'd get my book between Mar. 22-28!! I have to make my ADR's on the 21st! AAAUUGGGHHHH! :hammer:I can't believe how frustrating this has turned out to be. One of the reasons I wanted the book was to help me w/ my reservations.

LOL, I always say the higher up someone is in a company, the less they actually know about how the company really works. I hope you got your stuff done.

I love Old Navy, I've gotten a lot of stuff for Sean and myself there. Not so much Lee or Tristan, they've only gotten a few things here and there. But they do have awesome sales, I love 'em!

What are you going to do for Lindsay for Valentine's Day? I don't like to give a lot of candy, just a little with a small gift. I will usually buy the little dollar heart shaped candy boxes from Walmart or Target for all the teachers. Russell Stovers has some cute ones that use email words like U R GR8 on them. Guess some traditions will have to go out the door when both the kids have 6 teachers each! LOL....
