  • I hope you had a truly great birthday yesterday, it sounds like you did wonderful staying on the WW plan. Are you doing the online thing too?

Well, I looked at the Passporter website and unlike Amazon that charges you when the order is sent they charge you when you place the order. I figured I was better off just waiting for it to come it. I might not make it till then......

I heard customers at work yesterday saying what a gorgeous day it was. I didn't get to see it since I worked from 10-6.

Do you shop at Old Navy at all? If so, they are having 90% off stuff. It's all in the back. I got 5 pairs of pants and 3 shirts for under $40! (All the shirts I got are white.)
I have to work tomorrow so just so I don't forget or don't get a chance to go online:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!! YAY, YOU!!!

I hope you do something fun and allow yourself a treat whether it be cake or whatever!

Uh-oh, now if you don't like the Passporter it's all my fault! But I think you will like it, I really do. I sent an email to Passporter asking if they have a shipment date yet and no reply. I know you got the pre-order price and I debated on whether or not to cancel my pre-order and go to Amazon (again!). If I wait too long then it's no longer a pre-order price. This has actually been kind of frustrating trying to get this book!
Albacore tuna is yummy! I do have to say though I don't like tuna cooked in anything - no tuna casserole! Yuck! Only tuna fish salad or a cold tuna pasta salad, it's the only way I eat it. And NO other fish for me at all. Period.

Hey good for you joining WW! That's awesome! I need to do something like that, too. It's so hard to get motivated. Ugh. At least I start walking about a month before we go to WDW to get in some kind of shape. I think it would kill me if I didn't! ! I always "plan" to start earlier and then end up just the month before walking. Maybe this year. You'll be a good influence!
I simply just have to give in to my love for all things Disney, there's just no fighting it.

Wow, that's awesome, I know how much you love POFQ! You are going to have so much fun......

The only problem with me ordering the fish & chips is I do not eat seafood. Except tuna from a can and for some reason most people don't count that. I got the burger last time. I know, very British of me, huh?
I completely agree w/ your sister about Rose & Crown. We ate there and Tristan got the fish and it was huge and it looked flaky and moist. He said it was really good he just couldn't eat it all. We are eating there again this trip. I wanted to go there so my hubby could get the fish & chips but he thinks he might get something else. I was like, "whaaat?"

Well, I bought the tees today while I was shopping at the mall w/ my friend. I still have one more tee I want for myself tho.

Hey - I make all our reservations on Mar. 21st! We'll have to compare lists. We know we're both doing Rose & Crown. I also know we're not doing the French Rest.

I think you're right. I totally have a tee fetish! lmao....
Yeah, my hubby told me about the impending weather but I thought we were supposed to get at the very least flurries yesterday and nothing. We'll see. (Although if the kids do miss school I think they'll have to make these days up.)

Have you ever considered joining D23? I kinda want to but no completely conviced to do so. I did find four more tees I'm gonna get for my family and me. It's like a sickness, I can't help it, when I see a new shirt I LOVE I have to have it. And then since it's usually a deal (2 for $24 or $16.50 ea.) then I have to find one for all of us. I may need rehab.
Ever since you told me about going to Disney solo I've thought and thought about it. I think I would enjoy doing that. I don't know how long but it would be cool just to do what I wanted to do!

The Contemporary is sometimes even more expensive than the Grand Floridian! I know cause of all the different trips I've priced, lol. Someday, though, someday.

Do you think you'd go to Universal to see the Harry Potter addition? I would like to since I've read all the books and seen all the movies. We may take a trip off from Disney to do that in a couple of years and then after that go back to WDW for our anniversary again in '15. That seems so far away from now. It makes me sad to think of not going back for 4 more years though, lol.
What are the odds of Lindsay changing her mind, especially the closer your trip gets? I see a lot of people in the threads who talk about going solo. I think I would enjoy getting a chance to really, really slow down and look at EVERYTHING! I'm talking the sidewalks, buildings, everything. I'm right in the middle of the Hidden Magic at WDW on my Kindle and it's super interesting and I'm learning all the stuff we overlook while we are there. I may actually have to buy this book though just to be able to flip back and forth between pages (can't do that on the Kindle, there aren't any book pages!).

I loved the PO:FQ! I don't know when we'll go there yet though. On our next trip I'm hoping to stay in a family suite at the Art of Animation hotel and I so want to try the Contemporary eventually.
I've never even thought about going on my own. I wonder how I would like that? Although I have to say, I can't believe Lindsay doesn't want to go! I'd go every year if I could. Now more than once a year, every year, that I don't think I'd go for because I think there's not enough time for new stuff to open. But every year - I'd totally dive in!

Well, the kids will be off a week next month, too, then. 2011 has had quite the start for them. I just hope it's a good year for all of us. (It will be awesome for you if you make a solo trip!)
Saw in the paper that Cobb Co. may only have to make up Mar. 18th for this week! They allocate 4 snow days a year?!? WTH? Are you sure it's wasn't 5 days for 10 years? lmao.....

Wow, that would be great to go for 7 days for $12-1500!! (Don't say a word to my hubby ever! lmao!) If you use a PIN can you still use the free dining?
You make me laugh all the time! We have always gone in Sept. because it's a bit cooler and the crowds are lighter. Hey, if you go then that's when we'll be there! That would be awesome!!

We are considering doing the MNSSHP too this year. I even bought my hubby a t-shirt that looks like Chewbacca from Star Wars. I originally planned to give it to him for Christmas but decided to hold off until Father's Day. He doesn't "do" costumes and I knew this was the closest I would get, lol.

Wow, school out all week! I bet Lindsay hated that! Naturally my kids are enjoying this untimely break but I wonder if they'll complain once their Feb. week is taken away? You know, we almost decided to go to WDW during this Feb. break but didn't in the end because it's still peak and there was like a $1000 difference. Wow, good thing it was too expensive, huh?
You are too funny! Have you gone back to work yet? My husband started back yesterday and he said the roads were a little better today. I go back tonite 6-10pm. What a week, huh? I think the kids should just be out tomorrow, too. What the heck are they going to accomplish in one day and then have 3 more days off? I think it will end up being more like a babysitting service for some teachers. Oops, just got a text - school IS out tomorrow, too. I heard they're thinking of taking away one of their other weeks off. My bet is the Feb. one because I think a lot of people go away for Spring Break. What are your thoughts?

I can't wait to go and try all these new places. If I were more adventurous like my hubby I'd have much more to choose from on the menus but I have made a vow to at least be adventurous in my appetizer choices. Maybe I'll try duck? I'm scared!
I've already told you where we're returning to and now here are the new places we're trying:

3 signatures - California Grill, Flying Fish Cafe and Le Cellier. The rest are: Starring Rolls Cafe, Via Napoli, Chef Mickey's Dinner (we've done the breakfast), 'Ohana (breakfast), Leaning Palms (Typhoon Lagoon), Whispering Canyon Cafe (though this is not a definite), Yak & Yeti counter (we did the sit-down last time) and The Plaza Restaurant. One of my kids and my hubby will be trying either the ESPN Grill or the Sand Trap on the day they go golfing while the other kid and I go to DTD, where we'll most likely eat at the Earl of Sandwich (again!). Also, we're be eating breakfast at the Kona Cafe (we've only eaten lunch there before) and at the Rose & Crown we'll be eating dinner instead of lunch.

    So, what do you think?
Day 3 tomorrow of the kids' snow days. Can you believe it? My hubster went out today to Costco to get gas and said he had a hard time getting up the hill to the station! We stayed in. I'm not suffering from "cabin fever" just yet though. Today we finally(!) took down our Christmas stuff and put it away. LOL.

    What happened with your office?

I know Mar. isn't far away, time goes by sooo fast now. First I'll tell you the restaurants we're returning to: Beaches & Cream, Rose & Crown Pub, Kona Cafe and Grand Floridian Cafe. I'll start another post for the new places we're trying.
What a rip-off! You don't get a snow day when you CAN'T come in? Unbelievable.

It is beautiful, isn't it? Yeah, not long after I wrote my message I knew there wasn't any school and I also knew before anyone said there wouldn't be any tomorrow either. It's going to be nothing but ice tomorrow and I have my doubts about Wed. already, too.

I forgot to ask, did you and Lindsay go to the new caramel shop in Germany? I can't wait to try it. I have figured out where we will be eating. We are trying 12 new places and returning to 4 we've been to before. In there are 3 signature restaurants including Cali Grill. I'll be ready come Mar. to make my reservations!
I'm all geared up to be "trapped!" in my house due to snow! I went today and got some necessities - Cheetos, cinnamon buns and the like. Now, we won't get any snow and the kids will HAVE to get up and go to school. I'm really hoping to find out before I go to bed whether or not school will be closed tomorrow but I don't think it will go my way since the snow isn't even supposed to start until later tonite. I kinda feel like my kids (as most) will end up disappointed in the morning, LOL.

You won't be able to go to work in the morning if it's as bad as they say. Maybe you'll get a "snow day" too!
I don't think I'd want to work full-time in retail, unfortunately. I'm going to start looking again at banks now that the holidays are over. I really want something with a steady schedule.

Cumberland Island sounds awesome! How did you find out about it? It's funny though when you said Camden Co. I immediately thought of NJ then had to readjust it to GA.

I have to give Lee credit where credit is due. He always gets me something wonderful for Christmas. Even if I ask for something specific he finds something I love. And on the years I don't know what I want he still finds something that I get so excited over. I try to remember to really appreciate that quality.
Where is Cumberland Island? Off the coast of GA? That sounds like a lot of fun!! And you definitely can't beat the price. It's always great to have something to look forward to, huh?

My pendant is on a necklace. I love it. You're right about the e-readers being THE gift of the season. My aunt wanted to get one after Christmas and Target and Best Buy were both sold out so she ordered it online from Amazon.com and it still won't be shipped out till the 10th (@ the earliest). It's cool, I like it. I've already decided to get both my kids one for their birthdays this year. It will take the place of so many books that we won't have to find space for. I'm checking out all the free books they have to offer first. I've already checked out Disney books!
