Do you think Disney will some day require facial scanning/recognition as part of its entry procedures?

Just something that I've been curious about. I know that biometrics are part of park entry procedures, but I wonder if one day Disney will require more than that. Facial scanning is something I've read a lot of people are against, and not just because of the privacy aspect of it. Companies...

Getting annoyed by the misused expression "It's not Disney"

Disney is constantly evolving and changing. Some changes bring praise, and others consternation. And sometimes, or maybe many times, both. I haven't personally seen the "not Disney" comment myself, having not been on the boards in a week or two. People come up with their own definitions of...

    enough is enough

The ellipses are strong with this one. And, personally, I very much like the MAPO system that will cause monorails to slow down and stop if they overrun and get too close to each other. Or is part of your rant advocating they disable that and allow them to crash into each other?

News New Gondola Transportation - Disney Skyliner -

Because the main engine failed and the ski lift went into an uncontrolled rollback and the emergency brakes didn't stop it. I know your question is probably lighthearted or maybe a bit sarcastic, but that's a serious thing that happened. People could've died if thrown far or hard enough...

That's a rollback, and you may not be able to stop it just by hitting the emergency stop.

    Leaving on COP

I don't believe the doors are locked, so I would assume that once the ride has stopped spinning, you could leave, although I've never thought to leave early. Also I doubt announcements are made every time a person leaves, not to mention that if it was a Disney emergency requiring evacuation...

Space Mountain hurts me too much to ride it again until it's repaired. Anyone else feel this way?

Honestly, keep everything exactly the same except for a new, smooth track in the same configuration and I'd be happy. I love the ride, just not what it did to me the last time I rode it.

Space Mountain hurts me too much to ride it again until it's repaired. Anyone else feel this way?

Hey all. I know there is a thread about Space Mountain repair ideas, but I think this is a bit separate. The last time I rode Space Mountain, it jangled me so badly that I had a headache for the rest of the day, and I was completely miserable. I couldn't tell you which side I went on, but it...

    Help.

Well now that you've posted them, expect a knock on the door from the Disney police any time now. I'm waiting.. But seriously, if you didn't take them, you should have nothing to worry about.

How does Disney know how much each attraction "makes"?

I was just watching one of Martin's videos about Star Tours and its ballooning costs during construction. It made me wonder how Disney accounts for attractions and how they determine what each one brings in. Everything depreciates over time, but does Disney think, "Well this ride will be good...
