We still have to print our stupid Friday hot lunch papers, and field trip papers. 🤦‍♀️ Everyone complains about that. Lol

I would never accept that from anyone! Can do me a favor though and ask your oldest what they would charge?. I’m very curious.
Tell them- “be home with an almost 10year old, paid cash for minimum of 3 weeks, use of WiFi computer and printer if needed, 2-3 hours of uninterrupted time to do their own school work, all favorite drinks, food, snacks provided (I would get delivery for lunch and dinner as long as it’s available)..us of basketball court, trampoline, soccer/baseball equipment anytime other than the mandatory online-school time- make sure my kid is on the computer during that time.”

T doesn’t really need someone to watch and entertain him, I’m just not comfortable with him being home alone...so want someone at the house or in the yard. I realize that’s still “babysitting”, but I don’t know.. to me $200-$250 per week sounds fair 🤷‍♀️.
Is there a neighbor you could ask to just check on him a few times a day? Leave him home, but give him a phone number to call if he needs something, and the neighbor or friend could just pop in and make sure he's getting his school work done and such?

Good book! The latest in that series should come out this year, I think! I thought it was supposed to come out in 2019, but I think it must have been pushed back.
I've read the other four this month. Some people binge watch; I binge read. It took me a while to get used to the sheer length of the books; I'm used to being able to finish off a book in two days or so, sometimes less, not needing several days. I finished Drums of Autumn last night. It has been helping keep my mind off of this whole situation.

I'm assuming you mean the first four, rather than " other four", since there are I think 8 out right now? It does take a LONG time to read. I've read the whole series twice now, and I'm waiting for the 9th book. They are so detailed though....so much research goes into it. I sometimes end up googling characters to see if they really existed or if she made them up. But I learn a lot from reading them!

I have one.

It is glorious.
In all seriousness, if anyone is thinking of getting a Kindle, I absolutely recommend the Kindle Paperwhite. I have extremely sensitive eyes, like, have to keep everything on dark mode when possible, and so I have trouble reading on screens. The Kindle Paperwhite looks just like a book. It does not look like a screen at all. You can read in direct sunlight and there's no glare. You can turn on the backlight and read in the dark, which I live. It's water resistant. I've read by the pool, dropped it in the bathtub...as long as you don't try to charge it right away, you're good. You may also be able to check out library books and read them on your Kindle.

I thought I would miss the feel of real books after getting my Kindle. I've had it for about a year now, and I don't miss real books at all. In fact, when I do have a real book, it feels heavy and I'm like, "I'd rather have my Kindle".

Yes the first four. I'm going to have to wait on the fifth one unless I decide to buy it. I do have other books I want to read.

Stop with the memes, stop with the judgmental posts, if you don’t have anything to stay that can help, don’t say it. Period. Everyone is going thru a hard time right now.. some have to juggle things they never thought they’d have to deal, that couldn’t even have been planned. It’s not about avoiding staying home and entertaining your kids.

In Wisconsin, some restaurants are close due to the coronavirus. In the part of Wisconsin I am from, some of the restaurants are closed due by choice before Trump's speech. Before Trump's speech, Wisconsin's bars and Restaurants were under 50 people restrictions.
NY , NJ, CT restaurants starting 8pm tonight and moving forward are not allowed to have anyone dine in. Take out and delivery are the only options.
