Sympathy like. Today we have air you can hear againSympathy like. It is just plain cold, here.
Lovin’ that resort!!!
Kinda’ reminds me of the mid-century modern El Tropicano Hotel built on the San Antonio River Walk back in 1962. DWifey and I stayed there for the weekend of our 27th anniversary...!!!!!

We didn't have recess, we walked home for lunchI don't remember being sent outside for recess when it was really cold. We usually were sent to the auditorium to watch cartoons. You must be more tough in the midwest than us here in the east.
Seek help immediately! We're getting that weather tomorrow. Fine with me--I think the cold is invigorating.

It wasn't fun when it snowed or rained. Sometime if it was really bad we got a ride, our parents would be reported for abuse todayOh, that's even better. Interesting that all those kids lived within walking distance. (In the schools I attended, some kids walked and other took school buses.)
That's the cliche joke that grandparents are supposedly famous for. When I was school age I walked to school 7 miles uphill and walked home 13 miles....uphill as well!!!

Not only did we not have recess we didn't get snow days. I remember an ice storm and the school was open. None of the kids or teachers that lived down the hill from the school made it in that day and we tried for over an hour to get there. I remember everybody's shock and amazement at getting sent home early once because of a storm, but the entire northeast shut down for that one. Evil, evil, evil administration
