Yeah, no puzzles for me. I am terrible at any type of puzzle. I just can't see how they fit together and get really frustrated. I made a simple puzzle (from a template) for my 8th graders to figure out as a problem solving task and then I went to put it together I couldn't figure it out I had to look at the cheat sheet (it was 5 pieces). Puzzles always make me feel stupid, but I guess everyone has their strengths and weakness.

definitively.. rendering anything in 3d makes my head go "poof". Same with anything involving spatial math (like geometry)

I have to laugh at this because it reminds me of something my daughter did. When she was about four. I was washing dishes when she asked if she could have some oreos. Since my hands were wet I told her to take the package have a few and then bring it back, which she did. Finishing the dishes I figured I'll have some oreos. My daughter had licked all the creme centers from the cookies and put them back in the package. Needless to say that package was all hers after that.

So, last night was the gala/banquet for the pediatric cancer non-profit that both DDs are on the BoD of.
It was a beautiful event. We didn't get home until 1:45a.
C o c ktail hour, dinner (I was so hungry, I forgot to get food pics ), live auction, silent auction, 15 piece band, dancing, drinks (not an open bar) 'til midnight.
The live auction was a hoot. Some folks have a lot of $$$$$...!!!

Yup. Guy hit me when I was waiting to turn, got out of his car, said "Oh there's no damage" and I told him I wanted his information anyway. We had to get out of the flow of traffic, but instead of pulling over, he fled. Had to call 911, and since I was in pain, the officer called a medic, who told me that the ER was recommended.

I can't win lately.

Again, so far behind.
Have the authorities been able to locate the scum that fled?

The short version:
I went to the ER. When the nurse practitioner came in to see me, I evidently blacked out while she was talking to me. She sent me for a CT scan of my head and neck and a back x-ray. I was diagnosed with a concussion, whiplash, and a back sprain and sent home on some strong painkillers and a muscle relaxer, which I am still taking so that I can sleep (and I have been sleeping about 10-12 hours per night since the accident). Following up with my primary care doctor. I might wait for a while since I already have an appointment before I have the surgery to repair the ligament in my thumb, so we might kill two birds with one stone. They have not caught the guy, so we will have to file through MD uninsured motorist, which is a state-sponsored organization for incidents like this. I seem to be over the headache, which is good, but my back and neck are still sore. I'm concerned because I've now had two car accidents that have injured my back, and there's a history of back problems in my family, so I have likely screwed up my back again. So I'm not in great shape. But my car is fine.

So sorry you are still suffering from the affects of the accident.
Prayers that you heal quickly, and hope all the related carp (finding the vermin that hit you and ran, insurance, etc.) goes as smoothly as possible.

Nope, I have a summer birthday. But I often get depressed in the winter because of the cold and lack of sunlight (seasonal affective disorder) so I like to plan even little things that will cheer me up and give me something to look forward to.

Maybe you could plan a snowman party for mid-winter, to help you chase away your S.A.D. You could invite friends, or family, or some of the church members where your husband is a pastor. Everyone could make snowmen, (either in groups or solo) and there could be hot chocolate, hot cinnamon-spiced cider, and warm apple fritters. Wouldn't that be fun?

Spatzle is just little dumplings like tiny egg noodles actually. The Biergarten used to serve it plain and cheesy (yummy) but I think last time it was just cheese. That was fine with me, being from Wisconsin cheese is always preferred!

You need to be sitting down for this one: I don't think I've ever had cheese from Wisconsin. (runs and hides . . .) You see, Vermont has the corner on the market up here!

They have all passed on. I make the students throw away the ones that they use for launching and I have extras for munching. Seriously though, depending on how well the catapult is built some of those marshmallows can pack a punch!

Yes, and it has more antioxidants than broccoli. So for those that don't like broccoli, they can substitute dark chocolate. Come to think of it, a nice peace of chocolate pie for breakfast would be good, and good for you!

You and I are on the same wavelength when it comes to healthy eating. Today, I bought a blueberry pie because blueberries are high in antioxidants. I just had a slice of healthy pie about 15 minutes ago.

Now, I might also add that there were missionary nuns at church this morning, and they had a bake sale. That is where I bought the pie, because I wanted to contribute to the missions. (I'm so holy . . . for pie . . . )

Bad news: My printer decided that it doesn't want to print in black ink anymore.
Good news: HP is sending me an upgraded model for free even though my printer is out of warranty, and the ink should be less expensive. I just have to use my parents' printer or print at school until I get the new printer.

You can't get a break these days! What next??!! (Or, then again, maybe your string of bad luck just ran out today, and you are on the road to all positive experiences from here on!)
