Heading for the great escape.
And still it blethers on.
And still it blethers on.
The ignore feature is very useful.
Is that what he said? Or was he simply recommending the feature? Try not to immediately play the victim....So you choose to ignore people that are pro-Disney or who don't agree with everything you say?
Self labeling oneself "pro-Disney" seems like the very same sort of predetermined position of which you accuse others. So you choose to ignore people that are pro-Disney or who don't agree with everything you say?
Nearly everyone on this site is "pro Disney".
It's just that some of us are not "pro corporate Disney".
Corporate leadership in Burbank have no passion for WDW and are hell-bent on squeezing every last cent out of their "guests".
Many WDW theme park tickets are up more than 25% over the last 3 years.
Does anyone seriously think WDW is 25% better than it was 3 years ago?
Our frustrations are not with WDW or the front lines CMs who try their best under increasingly difficult circumstances. It's with a bunch of extremely well-compensated senior executives in California who think that it's OK to dupe consumers and cash in on a brand name that took decades to establish.
Right, I would NOT include Avatarland.. But is it an addition or a replacement? It is a replacement... If it was an addition, Avatarland would be built IN ADDITION TO Camp Minnie-Mickey staying... That's what I mean... Are we looking for a list of new ADDITIONS or simply new EXPERIENCES?
Dad said WDW had many new additions... Adding without taking away, then he would be wrong... WDW did not have many new additions.. Now, if he really meant new experiences, he may have a point... Criteria is very important in determining the list...
Some time during the rest of this evening, as Christmas festivities die down, I'll start compiling a list... We can then go from there, with adding or subtracting as we see fit...
So you choose to ignore people that are pro-Disney or who don't agree with everything you say?
They're more "pro-Disney" than you are. That's why they're not willing to accept the way the company is run currently and want the best of their company.
Right. And they are doing those things now?But the discussion is about whether WDW is stagnant or not, and replacing does help relieve stagnation. People often complain about Epcot Future World, but if they were to update Energy and Imagination, bring a new film to Soarin' and re-open Wonders of Life with a new theme we would have a vastly better and less stagnant FW without having added anything new.
You're either part of the problem or the solution. You are definitely not part of the solution. Some of us have stopped shopping at WalMart and vacation in CA, Tokyo, or the cruiseso I don't want the best for Disney?
I accept the way the company is run...it is a business and they are making money...lots of money.... that doesn't mean I think they should/could do a lot better in the Orlando parks
Could be worse, you could be pro-Disney and a new participant at this specific place, and then you're even less worthy than just pro-Disney...So you choose to ignore people that are pro-Disney or who don't agree with everything you say?
the argument is that we can't prove MM+ is the cause of WDW stagnation of major attractions and than WDW hasn't been doing anything over the past few years
plenty of things have been done attractions, experiences, entertainment, offerings, etc. and plenty of things are in the works
so I don't want the best for Disney?
I accept the way the company is run...it is a business and they are making money...lots of money.... that doesn't mean I think they should/could do a lot better in the Orlando parks
Many of the problems WDW is facing are created by WDW itself. Everyone would love to blame corporate in California for every little detail, but the truth is, the concept of MyMagic+ is solid. It's the execution of the program that was badly done, mainly the fault of WDW's own incompetent management team. (And to an extent, WDI) I'm all for blaming, but let's blame the right group of people.
P&R development has been scaled back, and in most cases frozen, due to NextGen overruns. I'll let others reiterate what evidence is in the public domain since its Boxing Day and we have a house full.
The plenty of other things is the bare minimum or in some cases what was forced on TDO from Burbank. A few examples:
