MM+ Why we can't have nice things.

Maybe you should put down your butterbeer because that's exactly what it is and I am NOT defending it....it's cheaply done and is space filler...it needs to be redone and bad. See...I tell it like it is good or bad

I'm saying if Disney did Simpsons like Uni did this board would be going nuts bashing it

and dinosaur ride is much better than the Simpsons rides - I didn't think it was necessary to compare spinners lol

If Uni had taken two years to do the Simpson's area and hadn't opened an E-ticket and had two more E-tickets in the pipeline I think they would have gotten a lot more criticism. I haven't seen it in person but from all the picture and videos it appears to be nicely done and very true to the source material. And let's not get started on spinners, Uni has one "vehicle on an arm" spinner if I am not mistaken, whereas Disney has 3 (or four) in just MK.

So calling me and others a pixie duster is adult hogwart slang?

No. Its not ... what isn't good is you have said "oh Disney has added loads of things" and not giving us evidence to back up your claim. Now I would reinterpret a funny Dara O'Briain joke about evidence, but it would be Too Hot For This Board.

Oh yeah I forgot....Uni is KING OF THE WORLD!!! Disney is going under and will shut the doors soon.

It is posts like this that make some here call you an idiot... Honestly, you come off immature... You take swipes instead of backing up your point... You take your opinion and call it fact... Someone, I think lazyboy, made a claim and backed it up... You crapped all over it cause he presented you with a fact... A fact you cannot handle obviously... Then you make a claim, and when asked to back it up, you crap all over the members here... Put your money where your mouth is... Back up the claim Disney has added a ton of stuff in WDW over the last year.... House arrest bands, FP+, stress, heart attack causing planning, and panic attacks over not being able to book ToT 60 days out do not count...

How about being mature... How about, when someone makes a negative (but truthful) comment about WDW, you do not act like a butt hurt WDW fanboi after a night with an Imagineer, or a whiny child who didn't get a toy on Christmas... How about stopping with the childish BUTTERBEER comments, or trying to cause a fight by constantly tossing Universal into conversations it doesn't belong.. You don't like being called a duster or an idiot.... But you have no problem doing it to others.... Didn't your mom teach you two wrongs don't make a right? How about trying to be the bigger, more mature person and not act like an ignoramus when others act that way toward you?? Maybe you'd be taken more serious by others... That is why your arguments and claims fail... Cause you act like a 5 year old...

People are picking on you cause you are too easy a mark... Again, I don't think you are an idiot like others have called you, but you sure come off and act like one...

Have you been reading posts around here lately. Disney could build the best e ticket attraction in the entire world and half would find something to complain about

No they wouldn't, that's what a lot of people on this forum would like to see more of from Disney. You made a claim that could be substantiated very easily with a list of the "many" things that have opened at WDW in the past year, if that really is the case then "spin" wouldn't work in the face of indisputable evidence.

How could someone "spin" a list of the "many" new things that you claimed have opened at WDW in the past twelve months? Its very simple, either "many" new things have opened in that time-frame or they haven't.

Have you been reading posts around here lately. Disney could build the best e ticket attraction in the entire world and half would find something to complain about

Which is completely irrelevant. The quality of, or people's opinions on, any additions neither add nor subtract from the total number of such additions.

Springfield/Simpsons is nicely done... It does hold true to the source material... They took a 2D world and made it life like, yet, holding true to the 2D look and feel of Springfield... it works... it isn't perfect, nothing is... But it is nice FILLER in a park which needed it... Unlike Chester and Hester which is just an eye sore and poor use of a "filler" area...

If Chester and Hester's had 2 more small scale attractions (between primeval whirl and Triceratops spin on the official theme park ride wow factor scale) and a dinosaur zoo with several top notch animatronic dinos we could visit, it would be a very nice area. Then, once Avland opened DAK would have a nice balance. The many small scale attractions at DCA have a completely different feel now that RSR is open. They are rounding out the day as opposed to being a big chunk of the meat of the day (turkey at my house). This is also why Springfield works. it isn't the backbone of the park, just a small scale addition that increases the fun factor of a visit.

The saddest part of Chester and Hester is that there is SO much potential for creativity with dinosaurs, there is so much more that could have been done with that area.

Definitely agree with that....I cringe when I walk into that territory but my little girl likes the Dino spinner and my wife likes primeval whirl. I see people playing those local carnival games too so I guess it works for some but yes, lots of potential in dinosaurs. Primeval whirl would be much cooler indoors with more of a Dino theme too

Ok since Dad apparently cannot make a list of the many things WDW added the last year, let's try to do it for him shall we? Now, what will the criteria be? Will the criteria be adding something new without that something new replacing something else? you know, like how Starbucks is new in Epcot but it replaced Fountainview... So, is Starbucks a new addition or a replacement? If considered a replacement, should we not include on the list? We need a set criteria so we can make an accurate list...

Replacements should be fair game, because they do provide a reason to come back to the parks. People can judge for themselves whether the replacement was worthwhile or not.

What about eateries? I mean, Be Our Guest is a great draw, by I wouldn't include the new coffee place at DHS on that list. Where is the line drawn?

I was going to include replacements since technically, they are new.. New experiences I guess would be a better term... Not new additions... New additions sounds like they added something without taking something else away... Starbucks is a new experience, but they took something away to put in Starbucks, so no, not an addition... Does that make sense?

So, the list should be new experiences in WDW over the last year, not new additions...

This is what I am trying to find out what we should do.. See, I'd include Be Our Guest cause, while a restaurant, it is still new experience... But is the Tangled area something we should include? It is new, but only bathrooms, not really an experience, though some guests do make it an experience, and using the bathrooms could be an adventure LOL... We need to come up with a concrete set of criteria... We do have to draw the line somewhere... But where? That is what I am hoping we can come up with... Then, it should be fairly easy to create a list..

But if it is something major replacing something minor it would make sense to include it. I don't know if there has been anything that fits in this category in the last few years, but looking ahead you wouldn't exclude Avatarland just because it replaced CMM.

No matter what you include, this list is always going to be subjective when you are trying to evaluate additions to the parks. I say list everything and let people make up their own minds.
