I had my first ever evac during my trip 21/5 - 4/6/09.
It was from Everest and my train was at the animated yeti scene.
I was sitting in the second row and as we came back into the mountain I noticed that there were lights on inside nad as my train got to the animated sequence it didn't back up enough for the front four rows to see the film, so it was at this point I suspected I was about to get my first evac.
Sure enough a voice came over the speakers telling us to stayed seated and someone would come and get us. Not any more than 3 to 5 minutes later some knackered looking cast members arrived and started to let us out of the train.
The size of the mountain on the inside even at the top was a lot larger than I expected it to be. Someone took a photo of the inside and was immediately asked (well told actually) to erase it. If my memory is right from the exit staircase the animated sequence is on the seventeenth story of the building.
Oh also of interest was that the yeti wasn't the only creature inhabiting the mountain, there was a tricerotops from Chester and Hester in there also.
The cast members said the mountain had been hit by lightning the day before from the storms which had caused all the flooding in Daytona and other coastal areas.
We got a free fastpass which was good for the rest of the week
and it was interesting to see something you wouldn't normally get to see as a guest.
One other thing I noticed from my trip that annoyed me was the amount of chewing gum that some morons had stuck to the rockwork at the bottom of the lift hill on Splash where Brer Frog is sitting on his rocking chair. Who are the idiots that think it's Ok just to stick it wherever they want? The bad thing about was that it looked like more than one days worth, you would think Disney would keep on top of this better as the more people see it the more it encourages others to do the same.
